Plugsurfing — EV charging

While waiting on the car to charge it is good to do some math and research… Charging at K-lataus 100kWh charger the price using the Plugsurfing app: €1,23/kWh. The price using K-lataus app who provides the charger… €0,33/kWh. When charging using Plugsurfing I paid € 36,60/30 kWh. Would I have realised earlier that using the Plugsurfing app means paying €0,90/kWh for convienience, the same charge would’ve cost me €9,90/30 kWh… Luckily I haven’t charged more than 40 kWh before I realised this… but still wasted way too much on settling for comfort and not having to use separate apps for charging…

Only use this if you want to pay a TRIPLE PRICE (or higher) for charging. To think that someone has reviewed Plugsurfing’s business plan and decided to invest in or finance the company…

Couldn’t get charging started in ABC Kuopio. Price ridiculous: 0.7 e / kWh

The charging stations are not visible on the map. Wtf? Who was the genius who decided that map is a good ui for finding a chrging station anyway? Has even one of you people developing this app ever chwrged a car in your entire sorry life?

Ei onnistunut maksutavan lisäys ja sellossa jäi lataamatta. Samoin. Myntti käyvän monella muullakin autoilijalla.

Went to Sello (Espoo, Finland) to do some shopping and needed to charge. First had to update the app, then add my credit card again. After all that extra hassle (in a parking lot where only 3g was available), the app showed no charging stations at the location. Then tried the qr code, which directed to a 404 page. Great customer experience indeed!

- Needs verification code, received 4. - Needs too long password with numbers, letters, special characters. Why not throw in few emojis also? - ”Update failed” - ”Timeout” - ”Unable to update customer data” - ”Unable to update marketing consent” - ”Cannot find location” -”Please re-enter payment methods” All this in first 15min of use.

Käsittämättömän surkea applikaatio. Joka kerta kun näen että latauspiste on Plugsurf, jätän yrittämättä koska tämä ei vain toimi. Lataukset eivät käynnisty, app ei osaa scrollata kaikkia latausportteja läpi jne. Ottakaa mallia kilpailijasta ja tehkää jotain toimivaa

Current charging session is not displayed prominently in app. A lot of times, the app get closed, crash or reset. It's very hard to find the active charging session screen in order to terminate the session. Active session should be indicated in bottom tab bar for quick and easy access. The app in general is very unreliable, there is a particular, I had activated the charging station, the app immediately display charging screen. There was some problem with the station, so no actual charging happened on site. The app didn't even bother to check or get confirmation from the station before display the charging screen. In the end, I tried several times, app displayed several active sessions, when I tried to cancel them, only vague generic message was thrown out. Not very helpful. In the charging screen/action sheet, key informations like: KW, Amp, delivered power, state of charge are missing. So it's not very useful. I have the feeling that the designers are not actual EV drivers, or did not do proper a research on how to delivery a smooth experience. They think if the car get charged and that's mission accomplished. So there are many details get missed out.
