Frustrating

DW_VWA on

Good content, but the app is constantly making me sign on and since I have to go the SSO route that's a PITA. Also, the app never remembers correctly where I left off and it's difficult to find content. Could be so much better.

Offerings are good, but app doesn’t save recents

Overall, I like Pluralsight as a service; however, the mobile app does not seem to save recent courses. So for example, I had started a business analysis course earlier in the week on desktop, but the mobile app did not show it in any of the homepage links. Thus, I could not find it easily on the mobile app. When I went into the course on desktop and bookmarked the course, I was able to see the course on the mobile app. I suggest the app show recently viewed or in-progress courses so you can continue your progress on the mobile app.

Great app!

Let me start by saying this is one of my favorite apps. The ability to download entire courses to play on my commute is incredible! I'd love to give this a full 5 stars, but there's just one minor issue I have frequently. Every few days or week I have to randomly login to the app fresh. Every time I login again, I get an email stating I have a new device connected, along with an additional listing on the authorized devices page. This has been going on for several app and iOS versions.

save your time and use your browser

This app just uses a browser to serve the videos and unfortunately for me the browser piece of this app refuses to login. So can’t even use this app.

The best

I have everything I need lo master a new technology.

App review not about content

DisorientedArt on

United States

This app is designed probably only for mobile use. On the iPad it doesn’t even seem like it’s designed for streaming content. The play/pause buttons don’t even fade. So if you pause and replay the content the media controls just stay onscreen. Why does it even have a miniature player if the video becomes so small that you can’t understand the content.

Best ever!

Fantastic material on most platforms…

I just wish the tvOS version were as good as the iOS version!

Need a course on improving Pluralsight

There are a litany of bugs and lack luster functionality on iOS and the browser. Every sort of casting is bugged as far as I can tell (IE Airplay “Error 7007”, Chrome cast won’t auto play). These are common video platform features that should work. Not addressing them scuffs the content on the platform, and shows the deprioritization of quality.
