How much does Podcast Player cost?
Podcast Player has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is 419.00 Rp.
It’s been almost a year since Stitcher shut down, which I had used for more than decade. I was able to upload my podcast list to Podurama, set a custom playlist that loads when I open the app, and it plays daily podcasts correctly. I tried a few other popular podcasts apps, but none of them could set a daily playlist, so was pretty pleased to find this functionality in podurama.
Pretty good!
Would like to see SharePlay support, but otherwise it's pretty nice. The UI could use some polish and the settings are a bit cluttered, but it is feature packed and works well overall.
Best podcast app
Hands down best podcast app if you use multiple platforms. It’s available on my iPhone, surface book, IMac, android devices. I just wish it had a Apple Watch app for when I want to leave my phone behind hiking , and a Xbox app.
Slow at getting new episodes
This app is very slow at getting new episodes to subscribed podcasts up. Not happy.
Podurama or Pocketcast
I really enjoy pocket casts and paid the yearly price but I heard of this new podcast player, so decided to try Podurama. I am really confused why there is no free trial to try the premium version. The free version is nice but lacks some very important abilities.
My biggest issue is the Que. I can set how many episodes to load in my auto playlist and my newer episodes but the Que does not have the same options. Very annoying to see 10 older episodes in my Que that were sorted in my auto playlist and new episode option. The Que is way more frustrating that it should be.
Without a free trial, I am going back to pocket casts. It is a shame because the interface on podurama is much better than most podcasts.
If they offer a trial…I may give it another shot.
Cutting off podcasts?
I’ve noticed that while listening on either the phone or the PC app, podcasts are actually cutting off in the middle for no apparent reason. I can’t seem to figure out a solution. So frustrating.
Cluttered mess!
I purchased the “Lifetime Premium” after hearing about it’s A.I. capabilities on the Cult of Mac podcast. Their recommendations are usually good so I trusted them & purchased this sight unseen. That was a mistake & I need to own it. The A.I. is no better than the normal search function in Apple’s podcast app. Everything is laid out in a clustered mess. Good luck finding something you downloaded on Apple Play because god knows where this stuff is. I was ending up looking for it on my phone while driving which is the greatest. I’ve just stopped using it & went back to the native app. I can’t recommend this app to anyone. Either use the native app or find another one other than this.
Ton of features which makes it personalizable
I recently tried about 5 other podcast players after stitcher ended (I was so happy with stitcher for 13+ years). Podurama’s features seemed to go deep, which meant I thought I could customize it to how I was used to listening to my (hundreds?) of podcasts… and for the most part, I’ve been quite satisfied. One note is that UI is a bit complex so it did take me upwards to a month or two to actually get a feel for all the features and how I can apply them to my liking. Lastly, I did not want a subscription-based podcast player (this is a buy once app). Happy so far with my purchase.
My favorite podcast app
I've tried most podcast apps available, but there was always something missing.
Podurama has everything I wanted, and keeps adding more features I didn't know I wanted.
Skipping silences, boosting volume, playlists, tags, bookmarks, quickly accessible episode descriptions, and great search features are just the first things they come to mind.
I let the developers know about some technical issues I was having, and they eventually fixed them in an update. It keeps getting better! I was happy to pay for a lifetime membership rather than another monthly subscription.
