PokerGO Reviews

Excellent content. App has some issues.

DeathByUgu on

United States

First of all, the content is objectively the best available. PGT tournament series, High Stakes Poker, No Gamble No Future, the list goes on. Best commentators in the business (i.e., Schulman, Nejad, Hanks, Platt). Would love to see some Triton in there, but I imagine that’s more of a content rights issue than anything else. However, the app itself is…lacking. Top 3 issues that, if corrected, would make a HUGE difference in the user experience (in my opinion): 1. When you start a live stream that started more than say 30 minutes ago, don’t start the stream Live. Start it from the beginning and give the user the option to go to the Live point. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve started a Final Table stream only to have an immediate spoiler when half the players are already eliminated. 2. If you attempt to watch a live stream and you want to go back to the beginning (which you shouldn’t have to do…see no. 1), it often gets pixelated to the point where you can’t see the chip and card graphics. This is kind of unacceptable for this specific content. 3. When the stream ends while you are watching from the beginning and you are not caught up to Live, the stream will freeze and the app must be restarted and fast forwarded to where you left off. PokerGo, please, please, please consider taking a look at these issues. It would really go a long way. Thank you!

Very frustrating

Not worth subscribing. I watched WSOP day 1-4. According to app I left off on day 2. There is no organization of series, you have to scroll to find a series and episode, since you can not find the series. Will not re-new, as watching poker is not worth the frustration of finding what you want to watch.

Moderator “Russell” banned me from chat

I paid $20 to watch the main event and some moderator named “Russell” has a power trip and banned me from the chat… Will be canceling my membership promptly after this event is over… Thanks a lot, Russell.

App is terrible

ItsTheBA on

United States

The poker production and content is the best. Commentators are all fantastic and they put on great tourney and cash game shows. BUT: the app itself is straight garbage. Constantly hanging, half the time unable to fast forward. Cutting out, freezing, buffering. Just awful. Please improve the app and your content delivery methods. It’s hard to watch great content when you can’t get the app to work.

Greedy company with little to offer

They force you to buy a $20/month subscription just to watch poker and their site is poorly optimized garbage. They could be streaming on YouTube or another platform that actually has it figured out but then they couldn’t force you to pay a minimum of $20 just to watch. Every time you’re in the middle of watching a recently finished recording the video cuts out and if you reload the page it will have loading issues indefinitely. I just read a review from a year ago saying the exact same thing so they clearly aren’t putting any of the money they overcharge people to good use. They just want to take your money and run and, because they have monopolized this type of entertainment, they can.

Not worth the $$$-needs improvement

Beyond bad

No clue why the app for ipad is so bad. Screens doesn’t fit monitor properly chat rooms cut off. App continuously freezes. They do provide good content when you get to watch it

Poor quality app. Lack of content.

Zcalanderbou on

United States

-Frequent does not save where you last left off watching -poor content besides WSOP. Better content on youtube with Triton. The pokergo cups are good but they only show final tables where blinds are so high less skill is involved. Triton shows you early play which i prefer to watch. -poor layout of app, difficult to find new content, does not have dates when videos released and content gets buried and difficult to find.

Great poker site

Don Sunderland on

United States

BUT the app is awful - can’t download, can’t close-caption, and difficult to navigate on demand episodes. Comparatively, Prime is a 10 and this is a 5.
