Description

Introducing home and lock screen widgets! Pollen Wise is the only seasonal allergy app that updates with hourly allergen reports. (Pollen Wise Plus subscription required for widgets)

Own Your Seasonal Allergies with Pollen Wise! Using a robust network of sensors around the United States and select other countries, Pollen Wise provides up-to-date pollen counts to help users mitigate allergens and avoid seasonal allergy symptoms. Customize Pollen Wise to put emphasis on the allergens that impact you the most, while still seeing levels across categories!

Pollen Wise is the only seasonal allergy app providing hourly allergen reports! Competing apps either use counts from yesterday or various other algorithms based on daily counts.

The advanced Automated Particle Sensor (APS) by Pollen Sense uses AI image processing to analyze images taken via a microscope to identify and classify allergens down to individual species. Particularly sensitive to Ragweed? Pollen Wise has you covered! Specific trees during tree season have your nose running? APS sensors find those too!

Airborne particulate levels can vary dramatically through the day! With Pollen Wise, you can see an up-to-date snapshot of allergens nearby and better plan your outside time.

The allergen journal feature allows you to log your symptoms to later see snapshots of your symptoms and allergen levels at that time. Please consult with a specialist if you suffer from seasonal allergies. As airborne particulate levels are impacted by weather conditions, levels can change dramatically.

While many features of Pollen Wise are free, some features require a subscription (Pollen Wise Plus). Unlock access to more historical data, an upgraded journal experience, home/lock screen widgets, and more with Pollen Wise Plus!

Pollen Wise Reviews

Great allergy app!!

Appleigo on

United States

This is by far the best app for tracking allergies. It includes dust and mold, as well as the seasonal vegetation based pollens. I have a wish list item: I’d like to see a graph section added that shows all categories overlapped together. Like blue line for weeds, red for trees, etc. Reason being that I would like to see if there is a tipping point for symptoms to kick in or get worse. I know I am sensitive to mold at some medium to high, and higher, levels. But there are also times when I have symptoms but can’t tell what the cause is, and I wonder if it’s because of a combination. I’ve swiped back and forth between categories to try to see a relationship, but a combined graph would, or might, make it much easier and plainer. Just a suggestion. Thanks for your excellent information.

Finally!!!!

So awesome to have nearly real time, local data available for a seasonal allergy sufferer like me. I correlate my symptoms with the data from the app, and can manage my allergies way better now!

When we are getting record allergies, you tell me there are 0 allergens, this is not even close. Glad I did not upgrade!

Dependent on their sensors

Parchanaia on

United States

The allergy levels are dependent on an allergist or hospital buying and installing one of their sensors. The nearest sensor to me is “very far” in Austin while I live near Houston. The weather and allergens is very different in these cities. If they had a sensor close to me, it would be my main tracker.

No data anywhere near Sacramento, CA

NorCalTulip on

United States

I could not find a map that showed location of sensors, so I tried probably 20 of the major cities on the west coast, and all forecasts were based on a sensor that was “very far” away. Based on this search, I conclude that the forecast for Sacramento, California is based on a sensor in Las Vegas, NV. Different climate, more than a day’s drive away, different habitat for plants & molds…. It makes no sense. I was surprised that the forecast showed zero tree pollen for Sacramento when there are a few trees in bloom & I see the clear signs of pollen, *and* it indicated that dust is our major issue which just doesn’t ring true at all for Sacramento in February. So, there’s a detailed forecast provided, but it’s complete garbage. Super disappointing. Perhaps this app is useful if you live in Denver or Las Vegas, but anywhere else in the west make sure you have a sensor “close” or the forecast may be utter nonsense.

Not so great

JKNProductions on

If there is a sensor that is nearby this app was great. However the sensor near me is gone and now the closest sensor is not close. This app is no longer useful to me

Data doesn’t make sense

pquira on

United States

I frequently have conflicting data on my app and ended up deleting it. One example is the main dashboard will say “dust levels high” but the current reading on the dust section says 0. Another major issue is during the recent air quality issues on the east coast where dust particles where extremely high, it indicated “low dust levels” even when a number of other apps and services agreed on ppm counts being well over 250

Miss or Hit.

If the sensor from which pollen wise draws its data is nearby, this is a lovely app. BUT, the distance is almost *never* nearby for me. So, I’ve dumped it.

This app talks a big game

Constant Reader Jr. on

United States

…but doesn’t really deliver. The pollen counts are erratic and don’t correspond to my symptoms, the symptoms of my friends, or to what other pollen trackers say. The app claims the sensor is “very close” but refuses to disclose what that means. My guess: on the same or neighboring continent. But it gives a dust reading, which none of the others do, and that’s valuable.
