This app is so bad! Litter box always disconnects and you have to reconnect. The reconnect process in the app is awful. Buttons don’t work to progress through the process. Also I totally understand it’s an Asian product but there should be a way to change language in the app and on the device. I do love the litter box but compared to other platforms this one lacks stable software in the app and on the device. At this point I wouldn’t recommend the product solely based on app and software performance. It shows a lot as well cause the last update was 11 months ago as it clearly shows on the App Store.
Box is good so far, app is ridiculous
The box works good (so far) and my cats like it, but its app is basically useless. Even when I can manage to keep it connected for a week or two it doesn’t even notify me if the box is full or that it’s having trouble connecting. Completely behind the times and unacceptable for an app these days.
My experience
I want to say that no good product can exist without high-quality after-sales service, because I can't expect to get a product that will never have any minor issues. When I bought Popur's litter box, I initially thought it was quite useful as it did a great job of cleaning my cat's poop and pee. However, when I encounter problems, I need a customer service team that responds promptly to help me solve them. But when they don't respond for one or two weeks, no matter how good the product's features are, it becomes very frustrating. I understand that a company in its early stages needs time to improve its team. However, their customer service has shown no improvement over the past nine months, which is really disappointing. Now, I have no way to get the service I should receive.
Disconnects everyday
The app disconnects every day , I entered my cat info and there is no option for a non-breed cat( except for unique and special ?!) . Plus what it is for? I entered my cat info but there’s no need
Litter box is great, app needs a LOT of help
I am mostly pleased with the litter box. I have a 22 pound cat and it works well for him though it has taken him awhile to get used to it and still prefers the other traditional box. My 10 pound cat used it the moment I poured litter in it and has only used this one since. But the app…oh my, I have finally just given up on it. It won’t stay connected to the box and I would have to reconnect it every day. It never once recorded anything except to send me a notification for a cleaning record…but then nothing was there. I have spent more hours trying to get this thing to work to no avail. I truly hope some attention is given to the app soon - I really like the box and the app would be sufficient for me with what it promises but the app just doesn’t function right for me and is probably among the worst I’ve seen personally in actual performance.
Application made by a beginner
This application is terrible in so many ways that giving it one star is generous. It feels like it is the very first program written by a beginner programmer.
First, when you try to register your litter box, and it fails to register for some reason, it does not give you a single reason why it failed so you can fix it. We were troubleshooting for half an hour until we reset the litter box entirely so we could register it.
Next, we wanted to update the firmware. The application blinks with the message “failed” every second during the process until it eventually fails. At this moment, we were super worried that our litter box got bricked by this crappy application. Fortunately, the litter box did its work in the background.
But wait! There is more! When you use the application, it randomly sends an error message about your network connection being unavailable. When this happens, everything disappears from your dashboard for some ten or so seconds. I have enterprise-class access points at home, so there is no failing network connection here.
The way it is programmed, I won’t be surprised that it has serious vulnerabilities, so if someone compromises your phone, this application doesn't feel it is taking good care of your data.
As I stated initially, giving a one-star review is more than generous.
Great litter box, awful app
Litter box works fantastic. This app is garbage. It disconnects from the box every single day. However, luckily, the box works flawlessly without it.
App needs reset constantly
Had the box for 3 months. I love the freedom of no scooping, but like everyone else has stated the app needs reset at least once a week and often says there’s no Wi-Fi….when all the other internet contraptions in the house are connected and working fine.
Other than the app, this is a nice quiet and odor free set up. There are no other issues so far. My cat adapted to it immediately.
Doesn’t perform basic functions
The app is meant to track the cycles of the box since last cleaning and work as a remote control for the box.
Unfortunately, it disconnects so often from the network that it barely is able to keep track of how often the box is being used.
I have to reset the connection multiple times before the box reconnects. It also becomes impossible to control the box remotely.
It’s really frustrating because the app connectivity is part of the advertisement. I hope they improve it because the actual litterbox has been an overall positive experience. The app really sours it.
Worthless App
The App is horrible. It constantly says my phone is not connected to internet, and then you cannot get to the home screen without restarting app. The “Operating Manual” included with the machine is not adequate at all and the App version is just a copy of the paper version. The educational videos do not work at all. Just blank screen. The FAQ tab contains No FAQs, just a reference to FB and IG pages, (which are worthless). We just got the machine today…. It better work brilliantly or it’s going back!
