PPG Flyer is a navigation tool for Powered Paragliding for your iPhone. It displays your current location on a map with other vital information such as altitude, ground speed, and course. PPG Flyer has a powerful navigation feature that directs you back to your launch point or to waypoints you can set prior to your flight. This app also include a complete flight log system that records all of your flights and even lets you play them back.

PPG Flyer also includes a Watch OS app for your Apple Watch that can work in conjunction with the iPhone app or as a standalone app to give you vital information while you are flying.

Great app.

Love this app. Use it every time. BUT could you make it so when my phone goes flat it saves the log. ALSO when I accidentally close the app without stopping flight, save the log. Thanks.

Fabulously simple and easy to use

I’ve been using this app ever since I started training in 2021. Now have over 70 flights with virtually all logged in PPG Flyer. The interface is simple and clear with to understand. The flight logger is great, also being able to replay flights at various playback speeds. The log export feature is also great but as other have said, unfortunately there is no height date in the export files so when loaded into Google maps etc then it looks like your driving along the ground. Have messaged the developer separately about adding height data into the export files, as it must be there since the playback gives height. Would be great if this can be added sooner than later as the export files are not much use without. But considering it’s a free app it’s fabulous, and I would give it 5 stars once the GPX file height issue is resolved. But for now it’s 4 stars. Keep up the great work and look forward to future developments

Nice app

This application works well for flight but, if you want to view your flight on ayvri.com; forget it. The app outputs a route .gpx file and not a track .gpx file, as ayvri.com likes. If you convert the file to track it will play in ayvri but you will be flying along or, in the ground; as there appears to be no elevation data stored in the flight log. Still a good app for flight though.

Adding air space/maps

Hi there is there any way of adding air space or similar to keep you out of controlled air space? Many thanks

PPG routing average

App works ok, but ‘route home arrow’ often jumps around the compass giving false info. Better than nothing, but only average compared to others - but it’s free

Excellent flight logger

I love this app. Logging and replay work great and remote control from the watch is really useful. Had hoped for a log export or save to files feature (eg csv kml or gpx) - but happily that is also in development, so keep up the good work 👍 Perfect and much kudos to the developer!
