Can’t access activities

I wanted to see what the activities were like before subscribing because $20 a month is a lot, but all it will let me do is read an article on how to get started.. In response to the developer: saying “most features require a paid subscription” actually isn’t that clear. “Most” implies that there will be something unpaid in order to trial before buying. It’s disappointing because I might actually have gotten the subscription if I could have some semblance of what I would be paying for.

Love this app

This app is amazing. There are so many resources, audio recordings of EVERYTHING, super detailed explanations of grammatical concepts better than anything else I've seen. If you are trying to learn EU Portuguese, there really isn't a better resource out there. It’s easy, fun to use, the support is stellar, and you can tell that creators of this app know a lot about the science of language learning.

This app is definitely worth the money

It’s only been 3 months, and I have been learning european portugués so fast my partner’s family is portugal is so impressed haha. This app is so much better than ones like Duolingo that i have tried before for other languages! The written lessons, shorties, translation tools, and so much more make it so perfectly designed to learn the language. Keep it up, i love it!

Pace too slow, too repetitive

Wish there was a way to adjust the speed of learning. I don’t need to identify what a pen is 300 times.

I tried a few other avenues to learning European Portuguese before stumbling on this app. I’ve been using it daily for a few months now and it still surprises me how comprehensive it is. If you get tired of one style of learning, you can easily choose another. There are blogs, podcasts, short stories, reviews and more. It’s simply excellent. I don’t know how it could be any better. It’s worth every penny.

Best way to learn European Portuguese!

I was trying to learn Portuguese on my own, with the little recourses online, YouTubers, chat GPT, etc. when I came across this app. When I saw what amazing lessons they had for listening exercises, I immediately bought the subscription. Then I was very pleasantly surprised to find that they had lessons too that brought you through spelling, audio, and more. This app has fast tracked my learning, and the lessons are super fun and interactive. Makes me want to learn more, and reach a higher level. Actually so thankful to ‘Practice Portuguese’, and owe them. $15 a month for premium is a STEAL and worth every penny. (You don’t even need premium to use the app, just for the lessons, you could make your own lessons if you wanted with the info they give you for FREE)

Great resource for European Portuguese

This is a fun app and a great way to learn European Portuguese, especially if you need to learn the accent. I studies several years on Duolingo (Brazilian Portuguese) but PP helped me get familiar with the differences between BP and EP. I wish there were a way to take tests and level up, so you could skip things you know. Also, the app doesn’t always work the way it should. I almost always do lessons on my phone. Maybe the website is less glitchy. I love watching the videos and shorties. The transcription and translation features are genius. I also like that you can slow the rate of speech down - .7 é perfeito para mim. Now if I can just get people to talk that devagar when I visit Portugal in October…🙃
