Prairie Locator Mobile

I have been using this app for the past 5 years and I love it. I’m a researcher and a lot of my ancestors lived on the prairies. Canada census records show land locations and I have been able to use this app to find original homesteads. I have helped friends do the same when finding their ancestor homestead. I love this app!

This app is very helpful when working with legal locations and gps coordinates. The support team behind this very responsive.

Used this app for years and was very helpful as I am in the country a lot. It has been down and not working for weeks now.

Can you guys please help me get this thing to work it worked on my old phone when I first bought it and now I can’t make it work on an iPhone 11

I find this app indispensable in my everyday activities in the environmental/oilfield profession. Everyone that works for us uses this application. Some improvements or feed back: - wouldn’t mind “search history” for the last 10 location that were looked up. -allow for a labeled section grid overlay to be turned on or off to easier navigate on the sat or aerial image. -allow multiple locations to be looked up and displayed at once. Possible create a small well list for an area. -be compatible with northern BC land locations (I understand it’s ‘prairie locator’) -allow for UTM coordinates. I use other apps and databases to fulfill these needs but it would be so much easier if they were all incorporated into a single app and would pay more for these extras. I will continue to recommend this app. Thanks for your time.

Paying for an app, and then having to pay more is not cool. You’re not getting the full version with this purchase.

Downloaded the app eons ago and I believe I paid for the upgrade (long enough I cannot remember). The app does exactly what it says it’ll do! Enter a land description and it highlights the section. I get pages from the fire department so this helps me determine where they are going. Saw someone complain about not being able to find their quarter line with this app. This isn’t a surveyor app. Use a metal detector to find the legal pin or call a real surveyor. I love this app!!

Easy to use, great app. Would like to see a function with a direct line from my location to the field, as the crow flies. Thanks!

Oil patch is full young people who can hardly read a map I send them to this app it is dependable and are able to get to locations and know where they are in the patch Good job setting this one up thanks

If I could give this Ap no stars I would, I upgraded to the professional version. We wanted it to help us locate our quarters line before we put up a fence for our cattle. It was off 15 feet either way you would think you were on it. Then you’d go back and check and get a completely different reading. Some times the blue dot would just take of moving erratic. I would actually really like my money back definitely not worth the $29 plus the original cost of the app.
