Best to do list ever

vivdoc on

I’ve tried many to do list apps over the years and this is the only one that does everything I need without being overly complicated. Very easy to use and with the right amount of flexibility. I love the ability to snooze reminders and creating sub-items that can be expanded and collapsed. Highly recommend it!

Happily Back With Priorities

Bounced around between various todo apps since writing my initial review but now firmly back with priorities There’s always the lure of other apps but in my opinion there’s none more solid than this one.

A great App

Rbt49 on

I’ve been looking for a Wunderlist replacement for a while now. Microsoft To Do came close but this is certainly better. Just two improvements from my point of view though. 1. Allow the font size to be modified 2. Allow full screen for tasks. At the moment the screen is shared by the pages section on the left with tasks on the right. As per Wunderlist please allow a swipe function to display tasks full screen.

Effective simple system so I use it

Fhfygfghgfyhh on

Tried many others over the years. There are many feature laden comprehensive ones but that makes them more inconvenient to use; they then become the flash in the pans having served no real purpose. Priorities reliable simplicity not only makes it easy to use in the moment, this means I use it. It gets used for everything. Therein lies its power. Fantastic long standing App I would recommend to anyone.

Still the best “reminders” app out there!

MungoPungo on

I don’t normally write reviews but felt I should for this because this app is seriously good. Very simple to use at a basic level but also has a lot of functionality if you need it. You can set an alert for a reminder and choose an option of a “snooze” on that alert which will remind you again at time intervals that you specify (eg every 10 minutes or every hour/day/week/month etc) which is great for me because I need constant reminding to do some things! 🤣 You can have the option of a setting which automatically puts something into your “priorities” folder when it comes round to the thing’s “due date”, so all you have to do is keep looking at your “priorities” folder. It’s easy to organise stuff and you can create subfolders. You can have an option of how things are listed. I have things in alphabetical order: Things that you tick as “done” automatically shoot to the bottom of the list but stay in alphabetical order. This means I can create a very long list of grocery items in my “supermarkets” list, all in alphabetical order which means it’s easy to pick out what I need when I need it (scrolling down functionality is quick) and all I need to do is go down the list selecting what items I want to buy that week by deselecting the “done” tick, and the items I want then all go to the top of my list in a handy current shopping list. As I purchase them I then select “done” and it goes back to the bottom of the main list at the bottom of the page, alphabetically placed. I have also created subfolders with recipes and their ingredients so I no longer have to look up what things I need for each recipe, it’s all there on my “supermarkets” list. I have tried out iOS “reminders” since their latest update to see if it is better, but I don’t think it is. It does have some advantages which Priorities doesn’t have at the moment, which is that it can remind you when reach a certain location (eg work) or when you are messaging a certain person. But the lack of “snooze” function on the iOS reminder alerts is no good at all for me. Priorities is still the best in my opinion.

Excellent!!

Been using the app for several years and I love it! Without it, my life would be chaos.

Wunderlist killer

Colin.V.A on

Until it’s acquisition by Microsoft and possible imminent demise, I happily used Wunderlist as my to do app. I started searching for a replacement and spent some time trying out many alternative apps but always felt disappointed for different reasons. I came to realise that the number one feature I wanted was the ability to quickly create and maintain a list of the most urgent tasks from all the disparate items throughout my various lists. Everything I tried seemed to require a number of stages, whereas Wunderlist’s ability to “star” items with one click, to create and maintain an urgent task list was perfect. Eventually I found Priorities and I could not be happier. It does everything Wunderlist does, and I actually think is even better because you can add due dates to sub tasks. If the developers of Priorities want more people buying and using the app then I think they should consider loudly promoting the app as a Wunderlist alternative. Well done! I really cannot see myself ever switching from this app now, and not sure I can think of anyway to improve it!

Priorities

Tremoine on

Seriously good - I've tried so many task apps that I'd almost given up - this is very good, delightful GUI, feels and looks 'right' and really appreciate the tree structure Couple of 'wants' - 1- more levels to the tree, going down to 3 or 4 levels would add considerable 2- file attachments would make this World Class - not photos off the device but PDFs with markup etc 3- more noted editing features with export to W4W / Pages etc Look forward to upgrades soon ! A year on, with upgrade, but no additional functionality - why upgrade with just a few tweaks?

KISS!

Carry Bag Man on

Does exactly what says on the tin; really easy to use, love the way the tasks appear in your calendar, and syncing between devices is really quick and smooth. Shows that simple is very often the way! Well done! August 2017...update. Still using Priorities as my 'to do' list; I've looked at many others but I still love the simplicity, low cost, and the fact that it integrates with the calendar app which others don't. Now subtly updated and still looks and works fine.

Excellent!!

Being an OmniFocus/things/2do user this app is a refreshing change....what make this so useful to me is the simple yet powerful layout and having a web app seals the deal. And for£2.99 is an absolute bargain! Thanks
