prisma APP FAQ
Is prisma APP free?
Yes, prisma APP is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is prisma APP legit?
🤔 The prisma APP app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
Until recently I had an issue whereby I was unable to connect my phone via Bluetooth. This has now been solved. Thank you to the team for reaching out to me but I eventually resolved the issue myself. Love having access to my stats once more
Needs new update
Since upgrading to the iPhone 16 pro, the Bluetooth connect ability has dropped and now it disconnects and reconnects every 5 seconds.
Perfect companion app
This is a great companion app that I now use rather than the device itself for turning on. The big gap here for me is there’s no link to Apple healths sleep information. If this was added it would massively increase my experience.
Unable to control CPAP with app
I don't use the data but would have given 5 stars for the convenience of being able to use the app to power my machine on as I have limited space and it's tucked away however the app will no longer pair my phone to my CPAP and so I can't use the remote control.
App is good enough but why use blue light on display?
Having used privately rented Resmed Airsense 10 for a few months while waiting for a Papworth appointment, I was disappointed at first to be prescribed a Prisma Smart Max, particularly when they said there was no ability to connect it to my phone, not sure why they tell people this? However after downloading the app and seeing the basic results of each session changed my mind completely about the Prisma device and the feedback gave me hope that I could tolerate CPAP.
On puzzle is why the designers of the hardware thought it was a good idea for the display on a sleep device to us a bright blue light, it’s not rocket science is it?
Thankfully I can tape a thick card over the display so I don’t flood the room with blue light while still exposing the go button or using tje App but why should users need to do this?
I’m not sure what data I’m missing that others have mentioned but even seeing treatment time and deep sleep gives me hope thanks.
Hard work
The Prisma machine is difficult to operate as it only has four menu buttons whose function varies depending on where you are in the menu. It seems very strange to me that you have prescription settings and Bluetooth settings on the same menu.
This app should have made the machine easier to control, but it does not attempt to do that. It does have diagrams of how to do things, but without any explanation as to why you are pressing the button you are meant to press. As a result everything seems like a random series of button presses.
Furthermore I am plagued by Bluetooth connection issues, which I don’t get with my other Bluetooth devices.
As a result I never know whether the machine is going to work as a result of me inadvertently changing a prescription setting. A simple “reset” button back to prescription defaults would be very useful.
App
I have been very happy with my machine. I know lots of people have moaned that it doesn’t give lots of information, it gives me the basics of what I need to know. AHI, length of sleep, leakages and deep sleep indicator.
When I have phoned customer services they have been really helpful. I needed a new mask, I phoned them and a day later I got a call back and received my mask within a couple of days. I have just received new tubes and filters, without asking.
When I went for my 6 month check up with the sleep clinic they were very helpful and shared any more in depth information I needed. Overall, I am very pleased. The machine is silent!
Hardly any data!
Was excited for this to see the data after first use. Don’t be
+It’s easy to connect to phone
- barely any detailed data.
- very minimal
-no Apple or smartwatch connection to Health apps
- disappointing to wake up to see barely anything
Poor app
I have tried every way to make this app sync with my CPAP machine without success. The whole purpose of having this app is to see if you are achieving what the machine is intending to do. Without the data you haven’t a clue.
Important data missing
The app is relatively easy to connect to the CPAP machine via Bluetooth and allows for the iphone to be used as a remote control. This is very helpful and makes for a simple and intuitive way of controlling the CPAP machine and its settings. The app also monitors and records CPAP data, however, important data is missing from the reports. For example it tells you how long each session was but not when the session began and ended. More importantly, the reports do not reveal any data relating to the air pressure the auto-sensing CPAP machine used throughout the night. This is a glaring omission, given how important this information is to both clinicians and patients. It would also be helpful to have corresponding oximetry data and sleep cycle / quality data which could easily be added via a separate fingertip oximetry sensor. All this data could also be sync'd to Apple Health. I have my own oximetry sensor which tracks oxygen levels and sleep cycles, but it would be helpful to have all the data stored in a single app. Since those of us that are reliant on CPAP machines HAVE to use them they could make for an extremely accurate sleep monitoring device, including oximetry and sleep cycle/quality data in the reports would seem to be a no brainer, but evidently not.
