Private & Secure VPN: TorGuard

Won't connect automatically if connection is lost with the vpn server. If I choose manual reconnection, the app and the whole process hangs, and does nothing. The only thing helps is deleting the whole vpn settings and reinstalling. But it is annoying, doing it 3-4 times a day manually. Really disappointing.

Torguard is worth every penny as a paid and versatile VPN solution. Plenty of servers and connection protocols to help you browse safely on any public networks or when you want to shore up your home connections. The protocol choices are great for getting around content filters and other things like speed throttling and connection limits at places like hotels and airports.

Great value and easy to access and use on all device formats. It is great to have on phone as a traveler.

No Wireguard customization including encryption, obfuscation. Poor coding that breaks and requires reinstall of app. Poor coding, connection robustness, and server availability making the always-on VPN a low reliability service. Small number of servers make it difficult to use some important websites and apps because most IPs are listed as a virtual network host.

The best app

As a customer of almost ten years, I couldn’t recommend TorGuard more as a service and company.

TorGuard is broken

Used to be great a couple of years ago. As of late, it keeps asking to reconfigure your phone settings. But it gets into a null loop. Deleting and reinstalling requires a new set password, fine, but the web portal doesn’t work properly to accomplish it. Very frustrating, just forget about it and move to other apps

Not compatible with latest iOS. Keeps asking for PIN, and fails over and over. Can't even close.
