DISCLAIMER: Puffin Cloud Browser is NOT a web browser.

Puffin Cloud Browser is the client app that accesses the cloud server which runs the web browser. The Puffin client app and the Puffin cloud server do not communicate in HTTP protocol and the data exchange is not in HTML format. The Puffin client app is like the remote desktop client and the Puffin cloud server is like the remote desktop server. Puffin Cloud Browser gives the audience the illusion of a web browser but it is not, in reality, a web browser. Puffin Cloud Browser can only "display" the web content rendered on the cloud servers but can't "render" the web content itself on the client devices.

* For some websites, Puffin server IP blocks need to be white-listed
-- Puffin can bring an excessive load to some websites

Great app!

Liked the browser, liked not being tracked by big brother. Too bad it’s going.

Puffin being bullied :(

I have been a happy user. It’s a shame that iPhone holders cannot access Puffin anymore. Based on what your browser reads Apple has bullied Puffin. That’s shameful. I have been an iPhone user for 7 years. In past 2 years I have had enough of these sort of shameless behavior. I think this is my last iPhone.

Better than Safari

Great app, especially because flash etc. work, which don’t open at all in safari. Just read that this is discontinued due to apple policies. That is outrageous in view of free internet, giving people the freedom of choice and boosting development by open and fair competition.

Latasin tänään, käytin, kirjauduin sähköpostiin (onneksi vain sellaiseen, jonka olen tehnyt roskaposteja varten) ja parin tunnin päästä tuli hälytys toiseen sähköpostiin, että siihen aiempaan sähköpostiin on kirjauduttu Yhdysvalloissa Linux-käyttöjärjestelmä Chrome-selaimella. No, salasanat meni vaihtoon ja sovellus lensi roskiin. Näin lyhyellä aikavälillä tapahtuneet sattumat eivät voi olla pelkkää sattumaa. Vanha salasana oli lisäksi todella vahva...

Puffin

En ole puffinia vielä hirveästi käyttänyt, mutta olen yllättynyt, että kaikki jutut toimivat ilmaisessa versiossa ilmaiseksi ja paremmin, kuin monissa maksullisissa nettiselaimissa. Muissa selaimissa pitää aina jonkun jutun katseluun ladata joku flash tai vastaava, mutta Puffin on netin selailuun paljon helppokäyttöisempi, ainoa miinuspuoli on, että etusivulla ei näy selkeästi historian selausjutut, ym. Maksullisesta Puffinista ei ole kokemusta.
