Pure Synth® Platinum is NOW FREE!!! It has evolved into one of the only Virtual Instrument Players on iOS and has emerged as the only substitute for your Rompler/Synth needs. All engines are fully capable as a romper, synthesizer, and wavetable mangler. We have a simple automation and modulation system where you simply touch+hold on any parameter and it will learn your MIDI CC commands and you can assign modulations to any parameter, including the effects. Our synth also includes all of the VKFX Suite from Overloud™ and we are always adding new effects that we add free from within the app such as the new effects below:

Virtual IAP Expansion Setup
Everyone remembers the famous samplers that we love with branded expansions and the unlimited ability to expand. Now that Pure Synth® Platinum is a free download, you can pick and choose which expansions you want to use. Freely purchase any expansion and most of them don’t require other expansions in order to run. We have plans for many more expansions and with our ability to store samples on external drives, your iOS device becomes the one stop shop for all things samples and synthesis. Not only can we add new sounds, but new features, such as the ability to load in your own wavetables or load in your own sounds in the future.
Existing BASSalicious and FM TiNES Users
Existing users of our FMT and BASS2 can go to the settings and look for the APPLY CROSSGRADE option. This will allow you to unlock those same sounds from within Pure Synth®, so now all you need is one synth to access all of the sounds.

Four years is a long time on IOS. No progress has been made with the interface, which remains clunky. Some of the sounds are very nice, but…it’s a huge app. It falls over more than it should. The focus seems to be selling more add on packs. Disappointing.

Unbelievably bloated trash for no reason

Update, Aug-23. Downloaded to see if I might forgive this dated junk because of the SY85 samples they’ve now released to iPad. Nope, not purchasing, an in app purchase of a classic synth isn’t worth the frustration of dealing with rubbish. Not a chance This app is 3.5gb in size, 90s workstations working on less than 1% of the sample size still sound far better than this. Here’s the thing, 3.5gb of samples and yet nothing sounds like the instruments they’re supposed to be. There’s better free iOS synths out there than this trash Constant updates resulting in a full 3.5gb download, which basically says all you need to know about the developer, they’re not programming effectively. The effects rack seems to be the only real positive to this, and that can be bought as a standalone, grab that, forget this crap, soon got deleted.

Only buy if you have time to waste.

If you don’t mind having to constantly reinstall the patches go ahead. This app is unstable and in my opinion, it’s a waste of time and money.

Utter broken garbage

Despite there being some beautiful piano sounds when you can actually open your in-app purchases to hear them, this remains one of the biggest rip-offs on the App Store. Buggy is not a good enough adjective to describe it. Using it as an auv3 plug-in is a test of patience and will that would test a saint. Half the time my purchases don’t even show up in the dated and goddawful UI. And much like the developers other apps it keeps insisting that the app is not installed on my iPad, even though I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled many times in the forlorn hope it may actually start working. I’ve given up on it. Absolutely avoid this total rubbish from these shady developers.

bought the EP pack, you have to download ONE PRESET AT A TIME, and each one is 1.5 gb? Mad.

Disappointing

I’ve purchased this ROMpler in hope of finding realistic orchestral sounds, but much to my disappointment a lot of them sound more like synth tones then real acoustic instruments. There are better alternatives for iOS in this particular field.

Fantastic sounds but crashes a lot

Super sounds, great fx but crashes more than every other AU3 I own. Still sounds fantastic and has some of the most realistic instrument sounds on iOS. Greedy on memory, the sample preset library adds up to around 6gb, which eats into precious iPad storage. Otherwise it’s fantastic and worth the money. Loses one start due to preset file size and instability.

Unhappy

Hi I’ve just purchased the new soul keys 2 expansion pack for pur synth platinum and only 7 of the EPs have sound the rest just make a clicking noise , to be honest your products are top rate and usually work without issue so this is a bit of a disappointment so hopefully you can help me sort it out and then I will definitely be awarding a 5 *

Unstable in GarageBand on ipad8

This app has some great sounds but in GarageBand it keeps disconnecting saying the app is not installed. Also it just stops playing any sounds at times like it’s disconnecting with the SSD where I store the sounds. You also have to keep the standalone app closed otherwise GarageBand plays two sounds at once. This app needs more testing before release.
