Great app with great monitor support!
What a great app, just downloaded it when I found out that my 2020 iPad Pro (without M1) wound have support for the desktop like experience which really got me frustrated, until I found Shiftscreen, now what an innovation and a great product this is, to be able to use your iPad like a desktop computer (with the use of web apps).
Can’t wait to see more progress! I’m really looking forward to seeing what this amazing app will turn into.
One suggestion by the way, and that would be to add the ability to add web apps to the launchpad, just for ease of use. And I absolutely can’t wait to see Figma support too! I’ve been using just the website which has done the job but have seen the roadmap of 2021… it’s 2022 now so hope you haven’t given up but I just can’t say it enough how happy I am!
ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!
A wonderful tool for a certain audience
This app is a wonderfully designed app. That is currently lacking in a lot of features.
I am a big Notion user, and this enables me to get the best experience from the app.
I wouldn’t hesitate to get this if you use the apps it supports but don’t buy this app thinking it can do something with your existing apps. This is where alot of the negative reviews are unfairly coming from imo.
The roadmap looked great and I was eagerly awaiting the updates for a long time, but they never arrived. but I suspect it has been abandoned now because the review scores are brutal. Also the new stage manager for M1 only ipads may also be responsible for the lack of updates.
But as a Notion user with a 2020 ipad pro. This app is genuinely outstanding.

On the plus side you can get a full screen of your iPad mirrored on the monitor.
You can only get access to a few apps when you use shift screen, which is a big issue especially when trying to use it for work. The files app can not be accessed. Your best bet is through a web browser.
Although there is the option to use multiple desktops, I couldn’t get that to work.
There is the option of split screen, it splits the screen on the actual monitor but no feature of arranging different data on the different screens. In the end, I had to abandon it.
Probably better to connect the iPad to the monitor without an additional app. No need to waste money. May be one day Shift screen will get there, but not at the moment.

This app implies that you will be able to use your apps on iPad full screen on your monitor! WRONG! It basically downloading a new operating system, it has a self hosted web browser, so forget using safari.
Pointless
This does NOT give the duel screen functionality it implies that it does. You can only use the full width of the second screen if using the included apps. If you try using any other apps it defaults back to the mirrored screen view that is standard for an ipad. There is no trial period so you only learn this once you have paid £6.99 of your hard earned money!!!!
Not useful as second display
I was thinking that this application will make my monitor second desktop, but this not happen. This app is kind a virtual desktop which is not that i want. Even in first 10 min a was trying to understand how the app is working. The app using the application that are pre install, not the application from the iPad. This is useless as well.
In summary is you are trying to attach second monitor to IPad this is not the app.

Track pad mode doesn’t work at all, and that’s the only reason to buy it, until that’s fixed avoid.

Downloaded with high hopes but the settings button doesn’t even work meaning I can’t change anything wasted money

The description of this app paints a perfect picture but within 5 minutes of using it you’ll soon be faced with disappointment!

Mis advertised - not really a great solution
Bought this on the back of what looks now to be a paid for YouTube video.
Yes it does extend your display to an external
Monitor but only the app itself which contains a cutdown browser (playing videos within the browser is not possible) a calculator and a pdf viewer. The PDFs cannot be viewed within the browser. This app creates more problems than what it solves.
I wish there was a way to get a refund because this spent 30th it’s on my iPad whilst I uncovered all its limitations and then was promptly deleted
