Pushcut: Shortcuts Automation

Well, it’s sad to see an App that can be so powerful to use but no chance to even test less than 10% of its possibilities ! I am a huge fan of automation and created some personal Apps. I have so much ideas of using this type of App like PushCut, like I use so much of Home6+, Signals, Controller… But PushCut on free, it’s TOO limited on testing so few things… (We only can create 2 custom Notifications with only ONE option !! ??). And not possible to test others features and What The Heck ! Over 60$ for an unlimited access ? Too expensive when we see what others can do. I’m a kind of person who would pay for extra features for Shortcuts automations but not at this price ! Message to developer Simon Peter Leeb : If you want people to download your App and USE your App, lower your price, you will see some good surprises ! Do you prefer to be downloaded 1000 times and only get 2-3 unlimited access? Or be downloaded 1000 and get over 30% of unlimited access ? With this 64,99$, you force people like me to not purchase your App whereas I would love to pay but … less ! But with a lower price, you would more than triple your incomes on mass for each 1000 downloads. Be sure people would download your App, will USE your App, will pay a full use of your App, would rate FAIR your App, and more download to come, and more incomes to come. With your high price 64,99€, you force people to badly rate your App, and you kill your App by yourself … How many downloads do you have ? How many contract plans people purchase for your App ?

First, thank you for this wonderful app! I didn’t mind spending 40€ on it, it’s worth it 👌🏻 I was wondering, how to make the Pushcut notification launch a ringtone if the iPhone is locked? I settled a personnalized ringtone but it only rings when my iPhone is unlocked :( Thank you very much!

A great app alongside Apple's Shortcuts app.

Amazing app if you’re using Shortcuts ! What I would love is being able to trigger notifications dynamically based on the Calendar. For example: every day send this notification 1h before my first event in the calendar 😊

Pay wall for all the features you are actually going to need to use, free ones are literally useless

Tested it on my phone and it worked great, I was able to trigger shortcuts using the URL. However, when I moved the server to a dedicated device, device specific shortcuts didn’t run properly. For example, I have a shortcut that disconnects all airplay speakers from my device and set playback to my device. This runs great when server is on my phone, but when the server is on another device it runs that shortcut on the server device. That device isn’t playing anything though so the music is still playing through the speakers from my phone.

This app fills the need for working notifications from shortcuts, but like most apps these days uses a subscription service model. If this was a one-time $20 purchase I'd gladly pay but I'm not going to sign up for ANOTHER subscription. App is limited to only three notifications in the free tier which is pretty greedy on the developers end. If I can find another app that fills this need I'll be switching right away.

This is the only reliable way I have found for invoking Apple Shortcuts from Alexa/Lambda. I have Automation Server running on an old iPhone 6s that wasn’t being used. Running for several weeks now with no issues. I use the api url to execute the shortcut from an Alexa Skil Lambda function. Pushcut allows the shortcuts to run without human interaction, which was one of the problems with Apple’s native “Automation”. Super easy to setup and use. Well done!
