I love the upper arm workout with my p-band!!
I was apprehensive about trying Pvolve, as I knew I didn’t have the strength or stamina shown by their fitness pros. But surprisingly, it’s a well designed app and program that allows me to work at my own pace, and adjust as needed for my growing strength and stamina. Due to several new diagnoses and the subsequent tests, procedures, and office visits required, I haven’t had as much time or energy to stay on top of my workouts as I’d like. My only request would be a way to pause the paid subscription. Allow users to pay for 52 weeks (for the one year option), and to pause the subscription weekly if they aren’t able to use it. When you’re dealing with chronic illness, it’s disheartening to know you’ve wasted weeks and months of your yearly subscription to mandatory recovery.
I enjoy the workouts and the unique focus on movement but I find the app to be very slow.
The Pvolve method has changed my life; since starting, I have improved bone density in my spine, which is a huge deal for me since I have osteopenia. I appreciate the search functionality allowing me to filter for the pacing, length of workout, focus area, and even instructors. I haven’t taken any of the LVS classes because I’m not much of a joiner, but have used every piece of equipment they offer in my home workouts. The videos are well-shot, easy to follow, and the instructors are fantastic—and their personalities really shine through. I will give the app rating a fifth star if the developers can go through and make sure that EVERY workout’s “add to calendar” has a direct link to it. I like to plan my week ahead so I can jump right into it, but at least half of what I add ends up only saving the name of the workout and nothing else. Overall, I’m a year and a half into Pvolve and I am happy with the results. I’m stronger, have eliminated my hip pain, and the Dexa scan doesn’t lie. My arms are also halter dress ready. Highly recommend for those who don’t like classes or being around other people for their workouts.
I love Pvolve but it feels like something is always going wrong with the app! I just updated it and when I went to look for a workout the “selected and additional equipment” section was gone. This was the best way to find a workout! I may know that I want a workout that includes the pband for example but not know exactly what other equipment to search for. I would love for this to be added back!
This app is pretty good, but it would be nice if there was an option to add the workouts to the calendar within the app for planning. It adds the completed classes to the calendar within the app. It gives the option to add to different calendar apps, but some don’t have the link to the class within the calendar, so it takes extra time to search for the class again.
Ever since Stephen left, the quality and effectiveness of the workouts has gone downhill. Once a year, after I’ve forgotten how bad it’s become, I sign up and try it again. And I’m reminded why I left … the workouts are just like any other workout, regardless of their blather that it’s “functional”. The trainers talk too much and move too fast without the focus on muscle groups that used to be incorporated. So glad I bought a couple of Pvolve dvd’s with Stephen (aka P) leading the workout that were sold before he left.
I love the programs, but have issues with the starting music or changing choice of music. Most times it will sit and buffer for a long time and sometimes I can’t ever get music to start. I have an iPhone 13 and always do updates. You also used to have a hip hop option which is gone now. Loving the workouts though, Thanks!
So effective and easy to fit into my day. Love it.
I love the workouts! They are very challenging but I leave feeling energized, not exhausted at the end of them. I gave 4 stars bc the app could use some improvement. It’s glitchy, slow to respond, and you can’t stack workouts.
