Qlone is an all-in-one 3D scanner app. We have made it easy and fast to create 3D models from real objects, edit them with built-in editing tools and seamlessly export the result to popular platforms, 3D file formats and 3D printers. You can even animate your models in Augmented Reality! A perfect tool for AR/VR content creation, 3D Printing, STEM Education, eCommerce showcase and many other uses.
SCANNING
If you choose to scan with the Qlone mat, simply print it from the included mat file, place your object in the middle of the mat and let the AR dome guide you through the scanning process. You can also scan the object from two different angles and it will be automatically merged for a better overall result which includes areas such as the bottom of the object.
You can now also scan without a mat in two different modes - AR mode which makes it easy to scan with our familiar AR dome or Photo mode, which takes higher quality 4K images in both manual or automatic modes.
When scanning with the mat, there is no waiting time, all processing is done in real time on your phone in seconds. In the new option to scan without a mat, processing is done in minutes on our blazing fast Qlone Cloud but we value your privacy so we don't store or view any of your models!
MODIFYING
With the integrated tools in the app you can optimize and modify your 3D model without needing to export them to other sophisticated software.
Texture - Change the Brightness, Saturation and Sharpness of the 3D model. Pick colors from the scanned object and apply them by painting directly on the 3D model. Blur areas or transitions for smoother results.
Clean - Fill holes in the model, erase unwanted areas such as the background surface or smooth certain parts.
Sculpt - Improve or alter the shape of your object by pressing or pulling a selected area and adjust the transition.
Shape - Fix the orientation, enhance the mesh details or set the scale size of your model for 3D printing. You can also simplify the mesh for lower file size export.
Art - Turn your object into scaled cubes or meshed objects of art, ready to be printed.
AR View + ANIMATION:
You can beam your 3D models back to reality and bring them to life with automatic rigging and animation.
EXPORTING and IMPORTING:
Export your model directly to platforms like SketchFab, i.materialise, Lens Studio, Shapeways and CGTrader. Models can be exported in a variety of formats for use in other 3D tools – OBJ, STL, FBX, USDZ, GLB (Binary glTF) which includes animation, PLY, X3D.
Share your models with friends as an image, video or GIF through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp, Email and iMessage.
You can import any 3D model into Qlone. Import in any 3D format (40+ formats) to view, modify or bring it to life in AR with our automatic animation!
PREMIUM UPGRADE (ONE-TIME PURCHASE):
Qlone is free to download and scan but exporting the 3D models, AR view with Animations and scanning in 4K resolution are premium features that require an upgrade to premium. Such upgrade is a one-time purchase fee and is not based on an annoying subscription.
Also, there is a new premium feature that allows scanning without a mat! Since processing for scanning without the mat takes place on our Qlone Cloud, when you upgrade to premium you unlock this new option and receive 50 cloud credits for 50 such scans. You can later purchase more credits in highly affordable packs if needed.
When you upgrade to premium, all models in your gallery and future models will be unlocked for unlimited exports in any format and it will work across all your Apple devices.

How much does Qlone 3D Scanner cost?
Qlone 3D Scanner has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is $17.99.
If you want to charge people to use your app, don’t make it look free upon download, that is a misleading tactic only meant to get more downloads, but it actually drives people away. Terrible app, and your service is not worth that price.
Spammy
Puts “buy” ad on top of your screen above other apps. Makes iPhone feel like android trash
Shouldn’t even bother with a free app.
Installed the app, was hit with a nag screen to upgrade ($$) and couldn’t find the X to close it. Tried to select something to scan, pop up nag screen again. Might be able to scan the size of a soda can if I put it on a printer sheet. Don’t have a printer. Spent 40 seconds in app before I uninstalled, half of that was in the nag screen.
PRICEY 😭😭😭😭😭
the moment I opened this app, subscription with discount for limited time. And you NEED the printed mat before scanning stuff without the subscription, which is really unlucky for people who don't own a printer. DO NOT GET!!!!!!
Watermark button for GIF and video it’s not there
I am trying to save a GIF and a video, but I cannot find the button to remove the watermark. I paid for this app, yet it doesn't appear in my Apple App Store purchases. While I see the charge on my Apple receipt, I still do not have access to the premium version, as the watermarks remain on both the GIF and the video. I have tried everything I could think of, except for the minor details.
That said, this is a great app. I love it, especially the high-quality 3D scans. I would be happy to give it five stars once these issues are resolved. I know it is possible to remove the watermarks, as I saw a tutorial on YouTube, which also mentioned the ability to remove the background.
Do not buy
Distorted scans, poor quality
Can’t test without paying
You can’t test scan anything before paying. Literally every major software has a limited free version you can test before paying, this is ridiculous.
Doesn’t work
After hours of watching videos on rips changing the lighting dozens of times and spraying the object flat grey app can’t scan a simple round disk on one side, not good at all and a waste of $19 .
3D Scan-vasion
Oh, 3D Scan-vasion, where do I even begin? Imagine you're finally ready to dive into the world of 3D scanning, expecting sleek scans and futuristic fun, but instead, you get a relentless parade of sales pitches more persistent than a door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesman.
From the moment you open the app, you're bombarded with pop-ups, banners, and notifications, all screaming "SALE!" louder than a Black Friday mob. I barely had a chance to explore the actual scanning features because I was too busy dodging these relentless ads. It's like playing Whac-A-Mole, but with your sanity at stake.
And don't think you can escape by closing the app. Oh no! The sale notifications cling to your home screen like a bad rash. Even when I tried to delete the app, it felt like the sales pitch was mocking me with a final "Are you sure you want to miss out on this amazing deal?"
Honestly, if this app's developers put as much effort into their 3D scanning tech as they do into harassing users with sales, they'd have a five-star product on their hands. But for now, it's one star from me for the brief glimpse of actual functionality and for the comedic value of their over-the-top marketing tactics. Use at your own peril, and keep a sense of humor handy!
Predatory Harassment
I downloaded this app to try it out. When it finally downloaded I opened it briefly, but didn’t have the time to fully test it out, so I closed the app, intending to try it at a later time. A persistent banner with a countdown popped up on my screen, and would not dismiss, even after the app was force closed.
The only way to get rid of the banner was to delete the app.
I don’t know how this is allowed. I will NEVER download this app again.
