Description

This is an unofficial app compatible with GoPro™ Labs enabled cameras. With the launch of GoPro Labs, users can control their GoPro cameras via custom QR Codes. This utility makes that easier on a mobile device, particularly for those without reliable internet connections. QR Codes generated support:

1) setting video, photo and time-lapse camera modes on the HERO12, HERO11/Mini, HERO10/Bones, HERO9, HERO8, HERO7 and MAX cameras.
2) setting up custom Protune configurations
3) setting camera preferences
4) triggering time delay starts, including sunset and sunrise
5) motion detection video captures
6) GPS speed triggered captures
7) support for multiple QR Codes.
8) saving QR Codes for sharing

Doesnt work after couple updates back, just white screen

This app used to be brilliant, a solid 5 stars. Sadly when I upgraded it to version 1.73 it stopped working - when run on either my iPhone XS or my iPad Pro, it briefly displays the initial logo, then nothing…. Hopefully this will be corrected in a later release.

Scaling of text and boxes all messed up! No UAT?

This release is messed up app content doesn’t fit on my screen, text is overlapping and words split across lines, very disappointed with this release :( I’m using an iPhone X so screen ain’t exactly small the scaling is more suited to an iPad!

A few bugs

Cannot get the Attach QR Command in metadata to work, unfortunately only fix was a delete and re-install removing saved presets. Issues when enabling Time Date and changing screens, occasionally the QR code appears to stop updating with the current time. Would be nice to be able to report issues directly to the developer.

Needs work, good potential

This is a great idea and potentially a very useful tool, but the current version has a couple of issues. The first is an accessibility issue that may not bother everyone but if, due to failing eyesight, you use a larger font on your phone then the text in the app does not display correctly. The second is more functional, some of the codes generated do not work. Specially the delayed start / timed start codes seem to be accepted by the GoPro, but nothing happens! Tried several variations, then used a code from the GoPro website and all worked fine. I conclude that the app has some minor glitches.
