QTally Reviews

just what i needed

BratleyLower on

was looking for a way to tally my guitar practice. wanted to track how many times had practiced a song or a specific part. also wanted a way to set goals. only thing that would ve more useful for me is away to assign a quality. meaning i did it 30 times but some were not as good as others. i could then track back off my daily goal when i reach level of perfection that i'm looking for. i litterally was practing solo for just what i needed. lol

Exporting not working

Whenever I try to export my data, a pop up is displayed which states “make sure your mail is set up correctly” without any place to input your “mail.” Very disappointing.

Deleted my groups!!!

It deleted my data and groups at first but I’m hoping second time is the charm.

Can’t get support on this.

No way to email the developer. Unable to set up reports on this app. Worthless money spent

Needs a bit

I like it, but you should be able to sort your tallies by value or alphabetically… and also it would be a nice option to be able to see your tallies as a list rather than just circles for a quick look.

Great app but lacks some features to make it perfect

Overall, this app is better than most of the similar apps out there. Was worth paying for to support the developer. The things that would make it perfect (for me) aren't really big, but they are quality of life features that I really wish were present. - Feedback link in the app doesn't work. "Your mail isn't set up". Not everyone uses the built in Mail app. - Graphs are limited to bars grouped by time period. Should be able to display tally groups as either stacked column or line graphs to see everything together. If I want to view "daily" stats, then I want to see the total count, per day, over time. I don't want to just see one day at a time. - Can't edit an entry to adjust the time even though there is a manual add feature to create an entry for a specific time. - Can't include any "Metadata" for each entry. If the app is logging every single time something happens instead of just a simple incrementing value behind the scenes, then include a "note" field for me to meta data that can be updated using the "edit" feature that needs to be added. - Would like to be able to set the default behavior for an individual tally to either just increment right there or display the manual add screen. Sometimes I'll have something I want to tally but I'm never able to do it right when it happens, so bring able to tweak the time by default when I tap to tally would be great. This would also be super handy if a note field was included.

Not syncing with Apple Watch

Added tallies. When try to open app on Apple Watch it says to “create tallies on phone”

🤮 no backup, no go

Yowzoe on

I've searched and searched and it's kind of unbelievable in 2023, but there is no cloud backup for this tally app, even when paying for the pro ver. you lose your data, and it's bye-bye. Therefore also you cannot sync between devices...so I can't tally on my iPad and have it be reflected on my iPhone--they are completely independent. Not great.
