Compatible with Canada but not Canadian friendly. Did Quicken Simplifi even hire a Canadian to help design it. For example, Canadians say chequing not checking, postal code not zip code, province not state and so on… Not useful for those who manage their spouse’s stock portfolio. It has a silly feature called space sharing whereby you invite your spouse to create a Quicken ID and your spouse then has access to all your finance information. Really? Who the hell does that? It gets worse, if you do decide to share then your spouse’s portfolio gets mixed in with your portfolio and suddenly, you no longer have a true picture of you personal finances. Purchasing Quicken Simplifi was a waste of money and time.
This app makes it difficult to link bank accounts, and some bank accounts cannot even be linked.
I would like to at least be able to see how the software looks. Can’t even get past the purchase screen after downloading this app to know if I like the flow of functionality. I’m not going to pay for something blindly.
I wasted a few days on this. I couldn't get my head around it at all so I requested and received a refund and then bought Quicken which is far easier to grasp.
Recent update constantly signs me out… Open Banking: Connecting to bank by giving username and password is super sketchy… please add open banking integration.
About a month ago, all the transactions from my bank begin flowing into the app with the payee name “purchase” instead of the name of the company or organization. So the app can’t assign a category, they’re all randomly being called “home improvement.“ I contacted the bank and they blame the app. I contacted the app and they blame the bank. The thing is, transactions are showing up with the complete name in my banking app as well as when the transactions come from a credit card. I’m disappointed; the whole reason I purchased and work with this app is to track spending in various categories.
Who in there right mind would pay before trying. Soon as I saw money grabbing thief I uninstalled immediately.
I subscribed the this app as a more modern alternation to Quicken. I like the ability to post future transactions and see the cash flow. I was never going to connect to my Canadian banks and just do manual transactions. My big beef is when you setup a recurring transaction or future transaction and expect the app to post it when it is due, this does not happen. Very frustrating!!! I will not be renewing.
No trial period so you can’t ensure your accounts link. Amex is the main card I use and I got an error that it is not supported in my region So I had to cancel my subscription right after I activated it and request a refund- they say there is a 30 day satisfaction guarantee so hopefully refund process is smooth give a 3 day trial period for people to ensure their financial products link
