1) For the price they’re charging, there should be a solid iPad app. Their website doesn’t work great on iPad.
2) When making changes to billing, categories, etc some changes are not immediately reflected. Seems to take a day for some changes to be reflected. It’s 2024, and this shouldn’t be an issue.
3) interface is decent but not always the most intuitive. I came from Mint. Mint was easier.
Will continue to use but will be looking for other options.
App keeps crashing
App hasn’t worked since last update
No trial, no demo, just payment required
The first thing it does once you create an account is ask/force you to sign up for their plan (an annual plan). So, ultimately there is no way to try this app out without first paying for an entire year subscription without even knowing if it might be the right app for you.
No iPad, iSad
I like Simplifi, but I hate that I can’t view it on my iPad in an iPad window. Looks so cheap to see an iPhone shaped window. I think a company that makes $38M/year could afford the development. Monarch is turning out to be so much better and easier.
Recent update won’t load
Since the recent update app will not load! Please fix!!!
Forces Mobile phone based 2fa
Get with the 21st century and don’t force potential customers to utilize sms based 2fa. Was going to sign up but the app forces you to provide a phone number as 2fa. That’s an automatic no for me. Add some other 2fa options such as Totp or maybe a hardware based 2fa option such as yubikey. No thanks to tying more crappy 2fa implementations to my phone number.
Needs to be better
Long time Mint user and like many was very disappointed about having to find something else as it was perfect for me. Having to now pay for this app, I was expecting it to be much better. Login screen keeps logging out every time and have you re-enter password each time. App is very very cluttered with so much going on. I liked seeing the graphs on Mint and how easy the homepage/dashboard was. This app has a lot of potential but certainly needs work
Inaccurate Account $$
Without a way to tell you if an account has been refreshed and when it was refreshed, this app becomes very financially dangerous. You will think your balance is high when it hasn't accounted for all that money you spent three days ago. So be VERY careful if you decide to use it. I moved from Mint to this app and it scares me to use it. I have to go log into my actual bank accounts to determine if the app refreshed. The same problem exists on the desktop version. Kinda defeats the purpose, doesn't it!?
In app purchase information is incorrect
It seems that monthly subscriptions are no longer offered. The in app purchase information needs to be updated
Every time I use this app I get angry because it is so horrid
I don’t know why Quicken thought it was a good idea to release this service, and even less why they thought they should charge money for it. It is the worst money managing service ever seen. Keeping accounts connected is a constant chore to be done, and constantly associating bills to transactions is something I have to do every single time I use the app unless they are exactly the same amount every month. Or the service sees another transaction that is same amount and associates the bill with that instead, and then asks what you’re spending this other money on. It really is just like a 15 year old wrote a budget tracking software for a summer project, and abandoned it after he got a girlfriend. Nothing has gotten fixed or improved in the two years I’ve been using it.
