Description

The quip app makes it easy to track and improve your oral care routine, get a virtual checkup, and earn rewards for good habits! Any toothbrush, floss, or mouthwash can be tracked, with extra points earned for using quip.
Note: The quip app is designed for ages 13+.
Everyday care
It’s simple: Good habits are the key to better oral health. That means brushing your teeth for two minutes, twice a day, flossing and rinsing regularly, and visiting the dentist every 6 months.
To help you stay on track with your daily routines, we made an app that rewards you every time you treat your teeth right.
How it works
• Pair a quip Smart Brush to auto-track how long & well you brush
• Or manually log your habits with any brush, floss, or mouthwash
• Earn points for tracking good habits & unlocking achievements
• Redeem rewards like free products, retail gift cards, refills, & more
Brush better
Once you pair a quip Smart Brush, it will automatically log every routine (no phone needed!) To review your brush history, open the app with Bluetooth on when it’s close to your brush. Or manually track date and duration with any toothbrush.
Floss & rinse
Cleaning between your teeth at least once a day is recommended by the American Dental Association, alongside a daily refresh with anti-cavity mouthwash. Track both to make your dentist proud and earn points!
Points & rewards
Stack up daily points for brushing 2 minutes, twice a day (1x with any brush, 10x with a quip Smart Brush!), plus flossing and rinsing. You can also earn bonus points for achievements, like logging 100 brushings!
Redeem rewards
Turn your points into amazing rewards from quip and our growing list of partners — updated regularly! Popular rewards include free products, retail gift cards, refills, sweepstakes entries, and more.

So Much Better

Better, faster - fun to use and love the reward system. Gaming oral hygiene-brilliant!

My account is MIA

The app logged me out. When I logged back in my points are gone and I can’t sync my toothbrush. 😡

so hard to use

Mgc543 on

I was expecting this to be so easy. First i did log in however it wouldn’t let me pair my sunset sonic toothbrush. I wasn’t sure if it was just a brush that wasn’t bluetooth please let me know if it’s not. But then i logged out because i thought maybe it would help to try to reset it. When i try to log back in and type my email the continue button doesn’t light up and it won’t let me in. So now i have no way of getting back into my account. Let alone the app being so confusing. It’s so hard to find that AI chat center where i can ask questions and get a quick response.

Removed support for Apple HealthKit

The recent update removed support for syncing your brush data with Health. This is a huge regression in features and a big reason I initially chose Quip.

Isn’t accurate

I liked the older version better. It never keeps accurate track since I updated

tell me you used AI without telling me you used AI

This update is so awful I’d give it 0 stars but since I can’t do that it’s stuck getting 1 star. And there are a few reasons why. 1) You shouldn’t have to forget the brush and start the process all over again for it to maybe now work properly. 2) How do you know when the brush is dead? When it stops in the middle of brushing your teeth? When it won’t turn on? How is that effective in tracking, which is the main point of the app. I’m not gonna wait until it’s charged to brush my teeth. That’s just silly. 3) This one is a personal thing but I’m sure it applies to others. I was saving up all my points for the refresh bag. I got to 9000 points when you all decided it’d be a fantastic idea to change the entire system. And now the only 2 options are a FIVE dollar e-gift card to target or quip. So generous of you all to help cover tax and/or shipping! I want the old app back. Please and thank you!

Update 2024.25 broke syncing to Apple Health

Ricky Tenderkiss on

Update 2024.25 restored my toothbrush’s ability to sync with the Quip app. Thank you for that. Now, however, THE QUIP APP WILL NOT SYNC WITH **APPLE HEALTH!!** The whole point of my buying into the Quip ecosystem in the first place was its integration into Apple Health. I like having the ability to see all my health data in one place — which, yes, includes whether or not I’ve remembered to brush my teeth twice a day — and to be able to track patterns, detect trends, and make alterations to my routine as needed. This is very disappointing. I hope Quip fixes this soon.

Disappointed

The update a week ago failed completely. This update at least pairs my brush to my phone but information on battery status is gone. Can’t log in to my account because the login button doesn’t do anything. And for those of us who use a larger typeface the UI is not adaptive Just a mess.

Doesn’t really work

When you first set this up, sometimes the app will read the toothbrush, most of the time it won’t. Then if you don’t use the app for several days, the app will forget your account and forget the brush connected to it. Once that happens, it appears it will no longer recognize your toothbrush anymore. Edit: see solution from the developer though. One thing I can definitely say about Quip is that their customer service is top notch

Could be better with one simple fix!

The accountability of oral hygiene with ADHD is a real plus. However, if you forget to log your flossing and rinsing, you cannot retrospectively add that data. The smart brush will hold that brush data, Id just like to see the same opportunity for flossing and rinsing! (I forgot to log late last night even though I did them)
