I had a great experience with the app once I registered my job. I didn’t use the tracking of my “rescuer” feature as the job was still “pending” & the tracking was still being processed when the “rescuer” phoned me. However, if the tracking feature works, it will be helpful & reassuring. I feel the app needs more features to speed up registration process. As the app also stores my RACQ card/member no, I was surprised that I was required to enter my car registration, make, model & colour. Being a member, I thought u would have this information, although I may be wrong. If the car info is accessible thru my membership card, an improved feature would be a drop down list to select the registration & then the remaining details auto fill from your database. I am interested to hear if this is possible.
Good app, but could be much better.
Would be good if you could ‘search’ or ‘select’ specific petrol stations to see which has the best in your area ie. just search all the BP’s, or 7/11s. Rather than showing every single servo.
Also would be good if users could give instant feedback that would update the app whenever a fuel price on the app is incorrect.
Other than that is a pretty good app.
Nice appearance but little works
Couldn’t get it to log a roadside call-out. This is the most basic thing someone would want this app for and it failed
Needs to adopt better platform features
Firstly seems every time I need to open the app it’s forgotten my details. Not sure why. Just prior to this review I had to login, then it offered to setup FaceID which I gladly accepted, then straight after that I had to log in again with email/password for some reason. Probably not want you want to be happening on the side of a freeway.
Secondly (and frustratingly due to the first issue) the app doesn’t hook well into the iOS password autofill features (i.e. most apps, which does take some initial configuration for the app dev, offer the stored login(s) and passwords for the “associated domain”). My phone definitely knows my racq.com.au login (it’s within the keychain) however the app seemingly doesn’t support that level of iOS password integration. Once you get to the password field you can use iOS’s fallback of browsing for passwords, however it’s still klunky especially having to manually type the email firstly. Speaking of which the login email text field doesn’t seem to even want to suggest all my emails like most apps do (I.e. usually in an app for an email field I start typing my email and it’ll suggest my known email, however nothing in this case).
Also on the member card screen it’d be good if you could copy the membership number. I had to resort to saving a screenshot and then using the iOS feature to copy text out of a photo.
Great app
Super simple to use. I logged a request online, took me less than a minute. Then downloaded the app and tracked my patrol so I knew when to go back out and wait with the car. Great app! Thanks RACQ.
This app doesn’t work!!!
It hasn’t been working for nearly 6 months!! This needs to be fixed. Unacceptable
Happy customer
Thank you Vince for getting me out of a jam. Took about 15 minutes to get to me. Applied a clever hack to fix problem. Was able to get my disabled son to his Covid booster appointment. Good job. Marc
Won’t accept login
Tried to sign in with my email address and it wasn’t accepted it. Tried to sign in online and could login with the same email immediately.
Why is there no call connect.
Who was the Insaine computer programmer that completely destroyed RACQ?
My battery was flat, but RACQ make it so difficult to contact I would have been quicker calling a cab and leaving my car were it was!
I paid all that money for Ultra Cover, but still could not call direct to RACQ and had to go through such a confusing app on my phone!
Useless RACQ!
Isn’t it ironic there is no other competitor!
The robot again
I rang needing assistance. I wad sent a text and thought I would find out how long to wait. I pressed the link and still couldn’t find any information relevant to my problem. I am 82 years of age, gold member, active and mentally alert. Obviously RACQ no longer care about offering a service
