Rain Bird

Rain-Bird should be ashamed of the software and poor connectivity. I had a Rain Machine at my previous home and it was far, far better than the Rain-Bird the landscaper installed at my new home. WiFi module is poor. I had to install an access point within a few feet to get things running without 85% failure. Always waiting on connections to Rain-Bird server. I have a commercial grade network at my home. Gig speed and great performance for all my work and play endpoints. Rain-Bird controller, WiFi and software are pure junk when it comes to intelligent control. Wasted money as I will replace it with another Rain Machine-like system that performs better and no requirement for cloud interaction.

Latest update has a big. I’m getting erroneous notifications.

Have loved the App…but the recent update broke Notifications for when a Zone completes. Please fix.

The controller for this system is not easy or intuitive to operate. It seems at times to have a nice if its own. I’ll select program “B” and it will revert to program “A” for no apparent reason. The instruction sheets with it are virtually useless. Other than that the system works fine.

Edit: Oh, I guess to switch wifi I just had to FULLY DELETE the entire controller and set it up again as a new device. Because that makes sense. Totally normal to have to reset your device and set it up as a completely new one just to swap from one wifi network / SSID to another. /s Shopping now for a new 3P wifi module and app. Out of the budget for the time being, but definitely going to shop for a new (better) system to replace RB.

Was a great app up until the latest update yesterday. I no longer get notifications when when system begins and ends a watering cycle. Please re-issue update and fix this issue.

It would be helpful to have a log of activity maybe 30 days worth in case you miss a notification You cannot water all stations from the app like you can from the controller You have to start each station one at a time Update notifications still not working all the time They worked on Monday but not on Friday Update 2 Thank you for the reply but neither the controller or the app have programs (A B C D) It is an ST 8 WiFi The point is that the controller has a button labeled Water Now which allows a manual run of all stations in order The iPhone app does not have that function From the app you have to start each zone individually This is a feature request to add that functionality Also in your reply you asked that I provide more information so you can assist further suggesting that I "click the email link" What email link? I can connect to the controller. But now after using for several months, it has stopped sending notifications to my app (such as when irrigation is completed) and it is not updating the minutes watered for the month.

Do not have to go outside to a box when you what to reset the day or time.

Need to be able to save manual watering times Also be able to turn off control from app As of now you can only turn on but not off
