How does the Power Pickup work?
Book your Pickup. Do you want to recycle regularly? Select our “set and forget option”: we’ll come to your door once a month and you’ll never think about those tricky-to-recycle items anymore!.
Pack your bags: grab any shopping bag you have at home (see those green, blue, yellow bags from your supermarket? Yes! Any of them works!).
Put everything we collect in.
On the day of your pickup, leave your bag at your front door, in a safe location. You don’t even need to be home!
Your local driver will come to your door, pick up your bag, empty it in his car and give back your bag so you can reuse it next time.
Your local driver will then sort everything and drop your valuable resources in the right location to make sure they are recycled!
As we said: recycling made easy.

RecycleSmart FAQ
Is RecycleSmart free?
Yes, RecycleSmart is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is RecycleSmart legit?
⚠️ The RecycleSmart app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
While I keep trying to reduce my plastic consumption and waste by not buying anything in plastic, it’s virtually impossible to achieve. I’m so happy to have this service and business that takes things that would go to landfill and know it’s getting recycled.
The search function gives information about how to deal with difficult to recycle items in your area. I can’t imagine how difficult it was to collate all this information from every council in australia.
Very grateful
Wrong pick up day in Calendar
I updated the app and it now has the wrong pick up day on my calendar and also the bins are wrong as well.
Too many errors.
Confusing layout, writing needs an edit
The written descriptions of the items that can or can’t be collected sounds like it was written by an Ai bot and then not edited for flow of English. Ok, maybe they aren’t EAFL speakers but as much of the app using, recycling world is and it’s available in English, it makes sense to make it readable.
Also it doesn’t tell me IF they pick up in my area, or if my council takes whatever item for recycling. In fact I know that they do, and I usually just take stuff to the tip which works more or less fine. The app is bad and the service seems less than useful.
Great service terrible app
I can't believe how bad this app is. For a business that is built around booking via an app it's shocking. Making a booking shouldn't be this hard. Overall design could be really improved too - it just looks a bit amateur. When the collection people come it's great, and they collect so much in the one hit that I'd be running around to recycle at different places. Great service, but you really need to fix the app (and the latest update allows you to add a photo? How about just making a booking easy?)
Great service, app not so great
Can’t even reschedule a pick up using the app, as the calendar doesn’t allow a new date selection I edit mode, and no response yet to my request for help. For such a fundamental feature to not work in a date-based service app, is a bad sign. Additionally, there is no information as to how many collections each year are available, which adds further frustration. I will say that my one and only pick up went off without a hitch, so thankfully the service side of the business appears to run smoothly. Disappointingly, it appears I’m only entitled to one free collection every 6 months (guessing based on the next, unmovable, app-assigned collection date), so I can’t see the point in continuing to use this service for now.
Nice idea but too many errors
I wanted to love this app but it’s telling me things I know are incorrect so I can’t trust it (I.e. bubble wrap, plastic bags and polystyrene shouldn’t be disposed in my recycling bin)
They force you to sign up AND provide mobile number
Disgusting. Avoid like the plague.
Awesome if you can actually access the info!
Won’t let you access info without an address and phone number. Even after entering details and clicking submit window freezes and won’t progress. Environmentalists are frustrated enough without glitches like this!
Why do I have to create an account??
I have used this app in the past and found it useful but now it wants me to create an account before I can use it. What on earth for? I am deleting the app now!
What’s with the forced login?
My council uses this to show the calendar of which coloured bin goes out.
Have used the app for a while and it’s been ok, however the latest update forces account creation and a login screen. I just want to check my bin calendar. Why does this need yet another signup?
