GARBAGE

“Free” version is LOADED with advertising. Don’t waste your time.

It is just okay - UPDATED

UPDATE - The developer has responded to my original review below. I am going to email them as they requested regarding some of my issues and will update this review again when I’ve heard back from them. I appreciate that they are this hands-on in tackling issues so we’re off to a good start. Original review: The Auto Discover option never works, so I have to select my computer from a list each time I want to connect. The UI is weirdly coloured purple and pink and I can’t see where to change that. It also takes the art for a movie file to make it a purplish background image. It then stretches it to fit vertically, which deforms the image. I don’t like how much personal data the app collects. It shouldn’t need anything seeing as how it’s a remote app. I’d rather have it respect my privacy and not collect any of my information, like so many developers are doing. Lastly every kind of remote (Netflix, computer etc.) is a paid add-on which is very frustrating.

Needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled daily to get it to connect !!! Worked for 3 weeks but now it’s DOA...paid version ... Update: problem fixed by changing ports to 8080. Update #2. It’s started acting up again, keeps disconnecting. Had to uninstall / reinstall again .

Great functionality

It does what it’s supposed to. The mouse input could be a little smoother, but it’s convenient for watching videos with VLC.
