Forced connection disabled app

Nicknamed from moths Cali on

Well, up in the mountains, my solar system was acting a little fishy. I tried to log onto the app to see what was going on and they forced me to create a password in an account. I don’t have any service where I’m at, so I had to walk down the hill to see if I can find a connection just to access my system I paid for. Very poor programming.

Needed on watch!

I like the app. Lets me monitor the batter level on my electric kayak battery. But wow I’d love to see them port this app to Apple Watch. Then I would not have to risk losing my phone while kayaking. Hopefully some day.

Pointless Features, GUI needs work

I upgraded my Renogy lithium system by adding a Rego Inverter and M1 control panel so I could monitor status remotely. I give the system two stars because it works. Barely. Kept refusing to show me all four batteries. I had to buy individual Bluetooth monitors for each battery so they would communicate. There is no way to control your Rego inverter remotely. Wether you connect to your system by Bluetooth or remotely using the M1 controller, the system status is challenging to understand. I would like an easy to read single screen showing load vs charge. I do not need social networking components. I don’t care what anyone else is doing. I want to know about my system status only.

Is this a scam

Renigy products are great thinking specifically I would use. Great app not great customer service support at all. I have use the app to buy small application for my rv. Immediately they took the money for payment and for over a week now have gotten no confirmation email about said purchase or when I should expect it in the mail. You can sign into app but when getting to customer support you can enter your same info to Renogy but nothing In purchases or history. So what’s really going on. If I don’t get answers the back. I will have the bank track the transaction and we can go from there.

Constantly requires logging in

Every time I go to use this app, it makes me login. What’s going to happen when I’m not around Internet and I have to login? The whole point of having this is so that I can be off grid!

Doesn’t display battery percentage RBC50D1S-G1

billsier on

The 50A DC-DC MPPT RBC50D1S-G1 and BT-2 module does not display the battery percentage in the app like the BT-1 using the mppt Solar Charger use to. PLEASE UPDATE THE APP TO SHOW THE BATTERY PERCENTAGE !!! Please.

Great!!!

Renogy actually listened to user complaints and fixed/added stuff on their app and their one core device

Lacks Features

MoSettler on

United States

This app is fine to see what’s going on in your system. The most important feature that’s missing is notifications based on voltage, voltage drops, and temperature. All this app does is save me the few steps I would take to look at the actual equipment displays.

Last update broke it

Disallusioned user on

United States

Said it worked on my phone but update flashes and quits. A bad app compile without checking for version. If it does not get fixed I will need to send back my battery and get something different.

Pathetic App offers little info

aurylo on

United States

This app pretty much tells you the current voltage of your house battery and that’s about it. Percent capacity, runtime, inflow, outflow would all be great features that are lacking here. Not sure why.
