i enjoy research, i am quite glad of the purpose of this app. however the executions are a little lacking. the mobile website is klunky. the app is not much better. i cant change my profile picture easily on the web, so i got the app to change it, and now i have another issue with the app being unable to change it, and it redirecting me back to the website. i dont have time to sit in front of a computer and fix this. ill try mobile again tomorrow because it might be due to my account being too new. i am in software engineering and these pain points can really deter new users. once this issue appears to be fixed i would consider changing my rating.

Nice platform to share work but not much beyond that. Also notifications one receives by email as requests for materials often don’t show up in the app. So where do these request come from and where do they go?

What about discoveries made by non professionals?
Throughout history many discoveries have been made by intelligent men and women that were not professionals in their particular field of discovery. This is especially true in the field of Astronomy.
Also, some facts are not even considered by mainstream scientists when they conflict with existing paradigms.
ReasearchGate provides a forum for new theories and findings that may be critically important as our world raced towards ‘climate change’ at an ever increasing speed.

Love this website. In particular - it helps to know which of your articles are being cited, and keeps you up with others works you might be interested in. Also the H-index and citations numbers are very helpful for year end review
Dark mode needed
Good and solid app with basic functionality.
A dark theme needs to be added.
Right now it's just impossible to read in the evening before going to bed.

Chatty, entrepreneurial; but useful
ResearchGate is a chatty, entrepreneurial app that makes scholarship feel a bit like Facebook.
But it’s a useful marketplace of ideas and it’s pretty easy to use. And it’s a good place to exchange articles and drafts directly with people.
Meh
This is an iPhone app and it is not very practical due to small screen size. There is a need for an iPad optimized app.
