My apartment complex just started using this resident experience with BILT. I signed up for it and all of my other credit cards were automatically linked to this app. It’s extremely dangerous to play with people’s credit and money like this I won’t be renewing my lease because of this new app that I cannot opt of. Also, you can’t see your past transactions and I would like to see everything.

Ads ruin the experience no way to turn off or opt out

I have to have this app as a resident. For the app to work, I have to have notifications on. However, the entire experience is painful and annoying when Graystar themselves are selling your phone space with ads. There is no way to opt out of these ads. So you’re stuck with ads for things that you don’t want, need or care about. Just randomly popping in your notifications are all hours of day and night. Any property manager should be horrified by this. Every one of my neighbors hate it and complain constantly. If you’re a property manager and even thinking about implementing this platform. Please know that you will frustrate and annoy your residents. Many to the point where they will not use the app. It’s not okay. It’s not kind to your residents. You will likely regret having to deal with the resident complaints. Also, much of the functionality is terrible. Especially when it comes to amenities reservations. Our property manages still can’t get it to work well about 8 months or trying bits a complete disaster.

Want to live at a complex that forces you to use an app that only works 30 percent of the time and is your only option to pay your rent? Then welcome home! Its ratings tell you all you need to know. They intentionally do it I think so they can try to get you to pay late fees. It will tell you your log in info is wrong when it’s not. And even if you go to reset your password on the app it will not even send you a email to do it. You will spend all day in the office like you would at a car dealership just trying to get it to work. Don’t grow any grey hairs you don’t need and ditch greystar all together and drastically increase your quality of life.

Can’t even pay rent. App takes you directly to Bilt Reward when you try to make a rent payment and you’re basically stuck from that point on.

This “app” is ridiculous and insulting. The fact that my building forced us to switch to this right as rent is due is beyond the pale. My lease stipulates a range of dates in which I am allowed to pay rent, and I have paid on the 4th for nearly 5 years. The new system no longer allows you to select a date for autopay, which means if I want to keep paying on the 4th, I must do it manually. The “app” itself barely works, and every “function” it offers takes you to a 3rd party website in your browser.
