REWORK_ (Philip Glass Remixed) is een interactieve reis door het verbazingwekkend nieuwe REWORK_ album, waarop Philip Glass’ muziek is geremixt. De app bevat niet alleen elf interactieve visualisaties voor de geremixte nummers, maar ook een interactieve “Glass Machine” waarmee je - geïnspireerd op Philip Glass' vroege muziek - je eigen muziek kunt maken.
Het idee voor het REWORK_ album ontstond tijdens een gesprek tussen Philip Glass en zijn vriend en nieuwe medewerker Beck. De twee vroegen producer Hector Castillo (David Bowie, Björk, Lou Reed) hen te helpen een verzameling remixes van Glass’ werk samen te stellen met medewerking van een aantal vooraanstaande artiesten, waaronder Beck zelf, Tyondai Braxton, Amon Tobin, Cornelius, Dan Deacon, Johann Johannsson, Nosaj Thing, Memory Tapes, Silver Alert, Pantha du Prince, My Great Ghost en Peter Broderick.
Om het album te completeren, creëerde app ontwikkelaar Snibbe Studio (ontwikkelaar van Björk’s Biophilia app) de REWORK_ app om de fans een interactieve muzikale ervaring mee te geven.

This is a wonderfull plaything! AND it has great music, great remixes and a Glass machine..
Minimal —in a good way!
I would never have paid for a tribute/remix album (and pirate it instead), but as a semi-interactive eye-candy app, it's worthy of the price! Best thing since Björk's Biophilia!
