We went to Neapolis of Syracuse and the audio guide and directions were so horrifically bad, we immediately thought “Rick Stevens!” As we used his audio guides in Rome and they were amazing. Sadly there aren’t any walking guides for Sicily but considering how much more popular Sicily has become over the years it would be great if he did!
This is a fantastic App, if nothing else it’s worth getting for the Cistine Chapel! However the countless other guides are of equally high standard, and as other reviews have stated, not too long and not too short. Cheers Rick and team! 😀🇮🇹👍
This seems like a great app that we wanted to use on our Rome visit this year but the maps are too small to see on iphone and not zoomable. A real shame as the audio is so informative. It is also very American!
This app is wonderful. Rick and Lisa explain things beautifully and concisely. When you're paying a fair amount for park entrance fees around Europe and want to learn about the history of these amazing places, a free app like this goes a long way. We are so grateful for this audio guide.
Rick is the perfect tour guide. Informative and friendly. He chats away while you are in a queue, gives great tips and fills your imagination with stories, interpretation and discussion. Tip: See which destinations he covers and THEN book your holiday.
Highly recommend this app, very easy to use, a lot of information given but not too much that you are overloaded with it. I will definitely be using this guide for other European cities I visit
I was in Naples and i feel I know naples more then the average person due to ricks audioguide on my iPhone! Live Long and Prosper!
Honestly, Rick Steves is the best. Just got back from a trip to Rome where I listened to 4 or 5 of his tour guides, and they were perfect! Not too long, not too short, easy to follow with the right level of detail and entertaining dialogue. No boring listing off names and dates, just genuinely interesting details about what you are looking at. We paid for a audio guide for one day - what a mistake. The audio tour was so boring I gave up half way through and listened to Rick instead!
We used this audio guide for a trip to Rome and Venice and it greatly enhanced our already wonderful experience. Ricks witty and whimsical comments made us laugh and look at sights along the way in a completely different light. They were extremely informative and I would recommend this app to anyone traveling Europe and wanting a little insight into the various monuments and buildings you see and want to know about the history. Enjoy!
Used for the Vatican Museums and the Jewish Ghetto on a recent trip to Rome and the tours were informative, well delivered, and well paced. Strongly recommended.
