The app is not intuitive at all. It shows a bunch of settings for the mic and receiver, but doesn’t explain them or why you would change them. It’s like an app for someone who already understands this mic perfectly. I’m now looking all over the internet for explanations on how to use this app and what the settings mean. It doesn’t help that the mic doesn’t come with a manual!
Rode mics by themselves are typically quality mics. However, this app cheapens the experience. 1) no helpful instructions within the app. 2) icons and words are so tiny and almost transparent. Had use extra lighting and magnifier. And no-it isn’t my eyes. 3) mics don’t want to hold their paring. 4) even when mics are both one for receiving sound behind and in front of camera, the app will not allow the “split” channel feature. It stays on “merge.” Again, no instructions within the app for trouble shooting.

This is a childish programmed app. I have no way to connect to Rode caster video that is also connected to the same wireless network..
I have had my Rode wireless GO 2 for over a month and I cannot for the life of me connect it to the Rode Central app. I thought the entire device was broken and was ready to return it but I see it’s an app issue. I have an iPhone 15 and this is the one barrier for me using this microphone. It’s beyond the return period so I have to keep it and I have never used it AB’s still can’t. Disappointing.
Just got the app and no matter what I do it keep saying I need to update my phone. I have, the iOS is current, but it still won’t even recognize my Rode device when I plug it into my phone! I’ve reinstalled the app but that message is all I’m able to see. Absolutely useless and frustrating!
