Rolla One FAQ
Is Rolla One free?
Yes, Rolla One is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Rolla One legit?
⚠️ The Rolla One app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
Have had no technical issues even though running on somewhat antiquated devices. I like the simple interface with specific courses each providing specific terrain so I can tailor my training. Best of all the fantastic graphics which are a million times better than those offered by the Z app. Congrats on a brilliant product.
ROLLA
I mainly use Rolla for virtual cycling - it’s absolutely superb graphically and I just can’t stop looking at the virtual scenery!
Solo rides are wonderful and group rides are coming very soon!
You can record indoor and outdoor activities in Rolla -
Good potential
With a good wifi signal strength, I had good experience using an indoor cycling trainer, HRM, windows PC for the screen, iPhone app.
Could not connect to Strava so cannot upload ride at present.
Overall a good package though basic functionality so far. No workouts, only saw one other user on screen.
Pretty poor impression so far
Saw this new platform on DC Rainmaker’s YouTube feed, so was quite keen to give it a go. However, I haven’t even been able to start using is due to set up problems. I was able to connect to my treadmill but not anymore and I’m not able to connect to my AppleTV. The set up screen on the AppleTV app doesn’t match what is visible on the iPhone and the device doesn’t show up as available.
Something like this needs to be reasonably good from the get go otherwise it will be sunk before it can start.
Early days but disappointed so far
I like the premise and promise of this App and was keen to try it after DCRainmaker discussed it on his site.
However I have not used an App with this many problems before and very surprised by how bad my experience was. I note below the main issues used on a run:
1) Cadence data (which I believe is coming from the iPhone) doesn’t match the iPhone, Apple Watch, Garmin Forerunner 965.
2) HR was the same as the the cadence and similar magnitude with over 50% difference in the average heart rate.
3) The Rolla One App crashed mid run. Other running App on my second iPhone was running and both iPhones strapped to the same part of the body - albeit different sides.
So the data it gathered was inaccurate, didn’t match the devices where it got its data nor similar to other devices recording the run. Therefore the overall run analysis cannot be accurate and therefore meaningless.
Early days so I’m sure this will improve. Quite frankly if it doesn’t it may as well not continue as it is that bad.
I look forward to the improvements and will continue to use it to experience the improvements
Unable to use
App crashes on attempting to start any activity. iPhone 13 Pro running latest software update.
Doesn’t work
Anyone able to get this app to work?
Doesn’t work, that’s it.
The app connects to my wahoo kickr supposedly but then no power is reflected in the app.
No Apple Watch connection, and also doesn’t seem to be an Apple Health connection either.
Back to the ugly but reliable Zwift app.
After update, power measure stop working
Previous version just cadence doesn’t work, now with the latest update both power and cadence not work. Can you please fix it?
Can’t connect to a display
Through multiple attempts, I cannot get this app to connect to a display for the life of me. I’ve tried connecting to my smart TV, Apple TV, and laptop. All of which are connected to my Wi-Fi network (LAN). This app needs major development as it seems a lot of people are having the same issues with connecting to displays, HR monitors and power source. FYI I was able to connect my HR monitor and power source but how can I even experience the app if I can’t cannot to a display. Very disappointed so back to Zwift.
