Roon ARC Reviews

Crashes always in iPhone

iPhone_critico on

United States

In my family 2 iPhones 15 pro and 16 Pro Max always crashing after something like 20 seconds, already installed 2 times it works like a week and then crashes again, it works fine in iPad, so it’s a real shame having this bug to fix for iPhone!!

Arc is a fail

R2Law on

United States

Arc typically does not connect to the roon server. Since I mainly listen to Tidal and Qobuz, I largely abandoned Arc and use the native apps for Tidal and Qobuz. They work. Last time I tried Arc, it said there was a problem with my roon server and I should check the roon app for more information. The roon apps reports that Arc is properly installed and ready to use. Who has time for this circular silliness.

Where’s the iPad version?

Can’t be that hard. You already have a workable interface with the regular Roon app.

Still unable to connect properly, unable to compare remote playback with Emby

Still unable to connect properly, unable to compare remote playback with Emby,I don't know how Emby operates, but Emby's network connection is very stable

Flawlessly lets me access my library from anywhere

SpenceGM on

United States

I have been collecting music since my early teens and I am finally able to take all of that on the go with me. I know streaming services are all the rage, but I have vinyl rips, cd rips and music thqt is unavailable on every platform. I can finally unsubscribe and enjoy my own library from anywhere. Thank you!

Lots of promise but battery drain makes it unusable

alsdkfjas on

I love Roon and this app is in theory so much better than having to use Tidal or Qobuz’s mediocre apps. However this app drains your battery insanely fast - to the point where it renders the app pretty unusable.

LATEST VERSION DOES NOT WORK

Arc is not working right now. Even if you have the latest version of Roon server and Arc!!!

Dangerous CarPlay app

beltrix on

United States

There is no meaningful quick navigation in CarPlay. There is no search. If you have hundreds of artists, pull over so you can safely scroll through them, because there is no alphabetical jump list, so you can’t get to what you’re looking for safely while driving. In 2024.

Hot hot hot!

Running this app turns my iPhone into a stove top.

Is this still BETA 2 years in?

bhtrax on

United States

Come on Roon! You’ve been purchased and have $ now, how about investing in this app? TWO FULL YEARS in and you still can’t select an SD card or other storage location for downloads? My 3 year old niece can write an app in a week that lets you choose a storage location for downloads. I invested in the Roon Ecosysten and subscription to be able to take my library with me. You’re “supposed” to be the leading high end system for that. Yet your mobile “listen anywhere” app can’t use an SD card to store its downloads? This makes the app virtually useless.
