I love this app, but there is NO WAY it is worth $60 per year for an app that does one thing and hasn't been updated since the Covid pandemic.
The other reviews have led me to believe that this app is no longer being actively supported by the creator (who, if I recall correctly, also has ADHD and I assume has lost interest/motivation for now in favor of a new project). That’s the only thing that has prevented me from getting the paid version, as I find this app much easier to use than other routine/time-management apps I’ve tried. Fortunately, the lack of updates has not interfered with this app’s functioning at all, and I definitely recommend it! I only wish I could add additional routines (something that’s available in the paid version), and I kind of wish the bars extended to visualize the extra time spent when I go overtime on a task. I also wonder if timer circles would work better for me rather than timer bars/lines. However, I love that even in the free version you can enter up to 15 tasks and that you can constantly move those tasks around or edit them when you need to change things up from one day to the next.
I pay for the Premium plan and don’t have access to my Other Routines. Keep saying I don’t have Premium. I restore my purchase and it continues to say I don’t have it but i pay every month.
This app helps me so much! I am now not always late. I would not live as well as I have been without this app lol. That is not a lie. This app has transformed my time management skills.
I have been a premium subscriber for years and Routinist is one of my all-time favorite apps! There are so many organizational and productivity apps on the App Store, but none of them work for my needs quite as perfectly as Routinist does. The ability to start with my departure time (in the morning) and work backwards to the start of my evening routine (while also calculating the time for sleep and everything in between) has been a game changer for me. I hope this app never goes away!
I just wanted to say, that help button is helpful! In the tutorial says that you did like worked really hard on it, so I see where I’m coming from. Anyways just know that your help button is helpful!
The developer does not respond to emails and the app has not been updated in years. It’s a solid app with no glitches or anything but things and situations change and app developers need to accommodate. For example I would like to see an option for a toggle in routines to auto complete tasks. This is helpful if you just need the notification beep too know when to switch to the next task but are unable to actually go in the app and check off the item. Examples: cleaning, shower routine (basically any hands free tasks) Sad it’s not an option
Update on Dec 13, 2022: Review stands. No new updates from developer. Free version good for what it is. I advise against upgrading. The free version is excellent to give you a “taste” of how an app like this can help. I upgraded to premium before the subscription model and I’m grateful I did. As of iOS 16, the app continues to work as described: The app is buggy and has not been updated in 2+ yrs - appears to have been abandoned by the developer. If the developer updates the app, I’ll update my review.
I have been using this app for the last several years. I love it for several reasons. One thing that I really like is as items are completed or skipped routine, your completion time is automatically updated. This is key when you have a target time to complete your routine. Also, most people confuse habits with routines. Make no mistake, this is not a habit tracker. This is a routine completion app. Other nice things about the app is that you can skip the order of the items within the routine on the fly. Many of the other routine apps require you to go in a set order. It’s your choice how you want to do that in this app. The one thing that I really wish would be if the author updated the user interface. It looks like one of the first version apps. It really needs to be freshened up to match the more modern user interfaces of so many other apps. If the author did that, I would give it 5 out of 5 stars. But trust me, if you’re looking for a routine app, look no further, this is the best one out there by far!
