How much does Royal Road cost?
Royal Road has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is €30.24.
I’ve been using RoyalRoad’s website for years now to read (free) novels. I’ve always loved the platform and have thoroughly enjoyed several books published on it.
Now, the app’s here and it does seem to be intuitive to use, especially getting notifications when a new chapter is released instead of having to go the website to check.
It’s a lot easier to have an overview of the novels I’m reading.

Meh
I love Royal roads, however, their app is meh at best. The biggest problem is you have to sign in every time you open the app. It’s highly annoying. It’s easier to use the website.
YES YES YES
It is the best app in the whole world
Great app, still has auth issues
I enjoy the app, but I don’t care what the release notes say, I still have to constantly reauthenticate and it is obnoxious.
Formatting issues
While you can change line spacing, you can’t change the top and bottom margins that I have found so text gets buried under the menus.
There are also issues with page vs scrolling. Page format will end up with duplicate text since it keeps the last page format the same even if you only had a sentence left. This results in lots of duplicate paragraphs at the last page of every chapter.
Download Issues
For premium when downloading for offline, there is an issue with certain text missing. One example is if <> are used. Any text inside is missing from the downloaded version. Makes certain series unreadable
This app would be far better if it didn’t log me out every single day.
I click remember me every time to no avail.

Slower than a snail
Lately the app has been extremely sluggish. Compared to apps like Webnovel or Fanfiction . Net. It sometimes takes several minutes for the app to open and constantly has long loading times when opening a novel and going to the next chapter. It needs to be optimized. However they seem to care more about pushing ads and premium in our faces then actually making the app more enjoyable. I’ve had premium since the app came out, but I wont support this trash until it works properly.
Love the website. Love the app.
I do wish the app had a built-in feedback mechanism for bug reports. I just ran into an issue on IOS where as of today I can no longer select text to suggest edits, which is an important function for me.
