Samplr Reviews

I would buy an iPad for this app

Soooo goooood. But still AUv3 will take this to the next logical level

Stubbornly resisting AU3

TheWightGuy on

United Kingdom

The addition of midi in is a welcome, but for some reason the developer is still stubbornly resisting the march of AU3. Without that compatibility, Samplr remains a fantastic tool for messing around with samples when working live. But to be relevant today - to be useful - it desperately needs AU3.

No AUv3

It’s great but it really needs AUv3 now.

This app is iconic and has stood the test of time like no other. I’ve used it almost everyday since release. One feature I would love to see added is the ability to send each of the 6 samples to individual outs into apps such as Aum, or over a multichannel usb interface. Thank you for creating this incredible app!

Can’t normalise. 8 years in existence, a sampler.

First thing I needed to do after recording. To be fair, recording was easy and the button was right in front of me a red dot. So that was easy. The guide, is fine, so I combed it looking for a way to amp up the gain, if not ‘normalise’ per se. Go online - this is trying - and lots of people agreeing to use another app to normalise. OK, the dev must be fine with this. That’s it, that’s my review, just facts. Take care all.

Best granular Synth I have ever used

It’s quite simply one of the most inspiring music tools you will ever come across. GET IT. NOW!

Lacking two features

PBUH91 on

United Kingdom

It needs AUV3. It would also be nice if the sample was time stretched along the keyboard, so we can play it as a traditional instrument. These two features prevent Samplr from being a must have and hold iOS back, since other than that, it’s the best sampler on the AppStore.
