I cannot see how to export a file as PDF
This app wiped out four years of work. It converted all my scrivener files to its own format and then they simply vanished from my iCloud account. Unfortunately I didn't spot it until iCloud had synced all three Macs and both iPads.... No warning dialogs. So there's about four years of work gone - precisely the reason I keep everything in the cloud.
This is the perfect companion to the Scrivener Mac OS X application. Everything synchronizes without issue, all my documents are readily available. Split screen support on iPad Pro is amazing for typing up long essays. And I love that I can create a 'backup' by emailing my work to myself an in-built feature of the app. Seriously, get this application. It's excellent.
This app has come up to speed rapidly over the last few months with regular updates, and since v. 3.0 I have been using it regularly to sync with a fairly large project (approx 450 documents over 100 folders in the Binder, plus another 50-60 documents in Resources). At this point synchronising via Dropbox is pretty much bullet-proof, it is handling web-based documents and PDF documents (in the Resources folder) perfectly. Although the devs say v. 3.0 is not yet equipped to handle comments and footnotes it actually does cope with inline annotations and footnotes that have been set up in Scrivener - in Scrivo Pro you see them as text strings within curly brackets which you can edit and sync back. The edit interface in my view is very user-friendly as well as powerful - this is already a capable IOS Scrivener editor with both Binder and Card view and I expect it will continue to get better. If you use Scrivener on Mac it is well worth the outlay.
Got this so that I could sync it with Scrivener on my Mac through the ICloud Drive. For starters this app cannot read the scrivener files, they must be set up in a rtf file. Next, while scrivener can be set up to sync I cannot make this app sync. Best it will do will be to save a separate rtf file that must be cut and paste into the folder that the scrivener syncs to. Could have done all of that with a simple text editor & saved the expense on this. This thing doesn't sync like I believed it would. It's too much trouble for me to use. Waste of money.
