SDR-Control Mobile Reviews
Excellent! Brilliant!
This is one bloomin’ good app. Have used the Mac version for a couple of years now and was overjoyed when Marcus produced versions for IOS. They are rock steady and work seamlessly. Have been sitting in the sun today, 178 miles away from my IC-705, working the world via a 4G connection. Can’t fault the IOS version in any way. Absolutely brilliant and worth the slightly high purchase price. But if that helps further development it’s a worthwhile investment!
How about incorporating a tool for WSPR Marcus?

Perfection Improved
Previous version had the occasional flaky moment for me, either missing ft8 cycles altogether, or locking into transmit… aside that from that, it was pretty much perfect. Then here comes the update with a very noticeable improvement in stability - I really can’t fault the app now… perhaps the only thing I would ask for… have the transmit checked and locked by default maybe?

Except though Marcus, we’re still waiting on the Apple Watch version 🤪

Took me a while……
To get it to connect to the internet away from home location !
Once set up, it’s, simply brilliant, all modes including FT8 anywhere, any time, including across mobile data networks.
iCloud logbook, also my IPhone version works well on my IPad too
Works with Bluetooth IPods for total hands free operating!
Well done Marcus, 73 de Dave
Impressive
I have only recently started using the app which I'm doing on both the iPhone and iPad but before this used the app for Flex radios. Very impressive, the ability to control the radio from an iOS device is great but add on CW decoding and sending that works, FT4 & FT8 and you have a very light and portable system. I’m hoping that Marcus will add more modes and features in the future and the app goes from strength to strength. As I write this I'm sitting in the middle of a field in a camper van happily working FT8 on 40M with the IC705 and a mobile whip.
Not good on cellular remote access
It’s a great app on Wi-Fi around the home, also on a good Wi-Fi access point when operating remote ,but app struggles on audio rx packets on remote when using mobile carriers I have tried vodaphone and smarty sims and they keep breaking up the audio rx packets also bought a 4g router and the same results,my Icom rsba1 v2 software works flawlessly on these networks,I think more work is needed to address this problem remotely
Ok, but no go for my cellular carrier
I’m with EE & I am struggling too get the App to work over mobile data when out portable. I’m still having to use my partners EE hotspot, Work that out? Every other App I have works fine for remote access… however it still is a great App 👍 worth the money …
Excellent
I spent $130 on icom’s remote software for my 9700, only to find out I need to be able to port forward from my remote location. That’s simply impossible from a hotel. I bought this app and had it running in minutes! Simply set your home router to port forward and set static IP address for the radio and you’re golden. I might have to buy a 705 now to add to my remote capability.
Works with Xiegu X6100
Intuitive, feature-rich app. Has been very stable for me, and works fairly well with the Xiegu X6100 as it follows most of the ICOM standards supported by this app.
Great for some iOS-based FT8 (including reporting to PSK Reporter, which is a nice bonus).
Very happy, couple wishes:
I’m very please with the new iPhone app, love the iPad app. It compliments my new ic-705 very well.
Wish I could send an image to the unit (rather than switch to the other app), but that may not be possible.
Also wishing (and hoping) an Apple Watch add on gets release!
Great work!
