Description

SEAiq Pilot is designed especially for use by river, channel, and harbor pilots. It includes support for charts in the S-57, S-63, iENC and BSB/KAP formats and use of external NMEA/AIS over WiFi.
IMPORTANT: For non-pilots, we recommend SEAiq and SEAiq USA.
This app is free to download. All features are available during a 7-day evaluation period. An in-app purchase is required to permanently upgrade the app, otherwise after the evaluation period only basic chart viewing is supported.
SEAiq Pilot and SEAiq Pilot VPP are the exact same app and differ only in how they are purchased.
Features unique to SEAiq Pilot include:
* Support for official HO S-57/S-63 marine charts
* Adheres to IHO S-52 chart display standards
* Predicted vessel display (with ROT)
* Docking aids displaying distance/velocity to wharf fenders
* Vessel catalog
* Supports WiFi based AIS plugs and Portable Pilot Units
* NMEA/AIS record and playback
* Waypoints, routes, ETA, XTD, speed limits
* Route Meeting Point
* Visual CPA
* AIS "virtual boarding"
* Mariners tools: VRM, EBL, Mariners Notes, Clearing Lines
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

SEAiq Pilot Reviews

Excellent piloting software

Gbtraderpilot on

SEAiq is excellent piloting software. It allows us at MPI incredible flexibility to connect to a variety of AIS and GPS equipment and to navigate on nearly any chart format in the world. Also allows import of DXF files so you can pilot on top of a CAD file, or use the Venture Farther plugin and navigate on top of google earth or MSST photos. This is great for testing proposed docks, berths and basins. Could not be happier with Mark and his support team. First class all the way!

SeaIQ for iPhone.

Easy to use and tracks well. May consider premium package when I place it on a larger iPad as a real chart plotter. Will be my main navigation aid when sailing in Alaska.

Best of the Best!

JCTII on

United States

Pilots need reliability, accuracy, simplicity in set-up, and flexibility in graphic and data choice and presentation. Having been involved in the development of PPUs since the very beginning, I can unhesitatingly state that SeaIQ is the best of the best. It is a powerful tool that assists all mariners and pilots in particular to navigate vessels more precisely and safely than ever before.

I'd love to buy the subscription but I am having trouble trying to purchase it. Can I get some help? Thanks.

Excellent and superb software. Combined functionality of known ECDIS Maker from Transas to Maris. User friendly software. Best is that it accept official charts from various suppliers. Also support Raster chart. Great Support Team.

Inshore, Near shore, Offshore

I’ve been using SEAiq on iPhones, iPads, and a MacBook Pro for several years in many configurations including: With and without cellular service With and without NMEA-WiFi gateways With and without on-board AIS For US waters free NOAA charts (raster and vector) are always more up to date than proprietary formats. It just works.

Best NAV AP ever

PETaylor on

United States

I'm a professional mariner & move ships of all sizes for a living. So with this in mind I've been using NAV programs for decades now & find SEAiq not only performs better than others I've used in the past but is also extremely "user friendly". I have it installed on a dedicated "work iPad" & love how I can board a vessel & it turns on & connects to my Pilot Port transmitter instantly. Plus it just keeps getting better with each update, love it!

SEAiq Pilot is the best. We have gotten superb support and many added features for the asking. Here in Long Beach we are working with NOAA and SEAiq to refine use of hi-res bathymetric ENCs, and SEAiq has been great at supporting that effort. I would highly recommend SEAiq Pilot to professional pilots anywhere.
