Description
SeaPal is an App for sailors and other water sport fanatics that support the skipper in his tasks for navigation and route planning. The central view shows a map with the current position and forward line. Waypoint and routes can easily be created, distances and courses can quickly be determined. The touch interface allows for fast and intuitive interaction.
Online maps for trip planning and documentation are included. In navigation the offline operation and the precision and depth of detail is of special importance. Thats why digital sea maps for selected areas can be downloaded and used offline.
Charts are available for the coasts of USA incl. Great Lakes, Argentina, Brasil, The Netherlands, German coasts of Baltic, New Zealand. Inland Waterways of Germany and Netherlands.
For the area of Lake Constance, Bavarian Lakes and Mecklenburg Great Lakes excellent sea maps provided by the IBN publishing house are available as extensions. Further areas are in preparation.
The application was developed in a cooperation between the IBN publishing house and the HTWG Constance University. The specific advantages of a mobile device and the touch interface were taken into account just as well as the special requirements of sailors and skippers. As a result of this cooperation, SeaPal Basic is made available for free. Extensions and offline-sea maps can be purchased and loaded according to your area and needs.
This cooperation is open to further extension. Should you be interested to develop or provide further extensions, please contact us.

Subscription:
- Draught Feature 9.99 EUR / year.
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews for 9.99 EUR per year unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your App Store account settings after purchase.

Nicht benutzerfreundlich
Ich habe 2 Karten für den Bodensee gekauft. Ich sehe diese aber nur auf dem Ipad. Und jedesmal muss ich üben, bis die Karte erscheint. Nicht benutzerfreundlich und Karten viel zu teuer!
App ist nicht zu empfehlen!
Die SeaPal App läuft mit den beiden IBN-Bodenseekarten Westteil und Ostteil sehr instabil. Die Synchronisation über das Nutzerkonto ist mangelhaft und kaum möglich. Dass IBN gescannte Karten statt Vektorkarten verwendet, könnte man nur dann verkraften, wenn der Preis dafür angemessen wäre. Insgesamt sehr enttäuschend und schade für das viele Geld. Schade auch, dass die App exakt aus dem IBN-Verlag kommt, von welchem ich bisher sehr begeistert war.
Benutzerunfreundlich, instabil und teuer
Ich kann kein Bedienungskonzept erkennen. Jedes mal, wenn ich die App nutze, muss ich aufs Neuste raten, wie was funktioniert. Auf meinem iPad läuft die App sehr instabil. Die Bodenseekarte ist keine Vektorkarte, d.h. wenn man reinzoomt, wird es schnell pixelig wie auf einem Foto. Ich habe die Karten auch auf Papier und bin da sehr zufrieden. Ich habe noch nie so bereut, Geld für eine App ausgegeben zu haben.
Schwierig zu bedienen
Gute Idee, aber nicht sehr intuitiv. Für Bodensee 2 Seekarten muss man kaufen und dann auch noch die Hafeninformationen. 'Helloskipper' App hat viel bessere Hafeninformationen für Mittelmeer, Bodensee und auch die Schweiz. Es ist unsere App, also nicht unparteilich.
Karte weg
Auf neuem iPhone ist die früher gekaufte Karte nicht mehr installierbar-da die E-Mail-Adresse schon benutzt wurde, logischerweise. Ein Support-Center find ich nicht.
Server nicht erreichbar
Kann nicht mal registrieren, geschweige denn Bodenseekarten kaufen: kein Sync mit Server möglich. Openseamap funktioniert wenigstens.
Schade ums Geld!
Habe die beiden Bodenseekarten gekauft und bin schwer enttäuscht. Dieses App wird in der IBN ohne ersichtlichen Grund in den Himmel gelobt. Schlechte Haptik, Bedienung sehr kompliziert und benutzerunfreundlich. Schlechte Anleitung. Nach Update funktioniert App gar nicht mehr. Wo bekomme ich mein Geld zurück?
gute und preiswerte Navigations App
sehr gut funktionierende Navi-App mit ausgezeichneten Features, permanente Weiterentwicklung, guter Support, SeaPal steht den „grossen“ Apps wie Naivlings etc. in Nichts nach (bei den abgedeckten Gebieten)
läuft wieder nicht
Nach update läuft seapal wieder nicht!
