Still crashing when I try and record in-app via AUM, and the keyboard disappears. I posted this two years ago and still no updates or fixes. Seems to be abandoned.

It was working fine and then recently, When I set a sample from a folder into the project as a AU, to change sample, it used to take me to the exact folder I got the previous sample from… now it resets it every time to the cloud drive and I have to locate the splice sample folder all over again …a mapping issue I think but veryfrustrating …also periodically the sampler doesn’t load in the project and has to be restarted …we’re it not for the project I’m currently working on I would have jumped ship to something more stable ….this has started happened in the last month or more …

VirSin have had an app called Re-Slice out for a few years now. From the reviews I read about sEGments I really hoped I was going to get something superior to that estimable app. I don’t think so. I find the UI in sEGments to be a bit clunky, compared to Re-Slice - and that app has a rather wonderful arpeggiator built in. I bought this because I didn’t want to fork out for Sugarbytes Egoist. Now I wish I’d spent the extra £s.

Easy to use but also deep if you want it to be. I use it as an AU inside Endlesss and I’m still finding new ways to use it. An absolute essential for me now.

Brilliant app for slicing audio and drum patterns It does everything you need perfectly. It would be Amazing if you could allow us to rename the pads so it will help organise a certain sequence or specify what each pad instrument is rather than numbers. hopefully this is a small update Thanks

Wow, only a few days ago I contacted the developers concerning difficulties on accessing all 32 pads (I prefer to tap a pad where a slice is required rather than double tap on the wave), and straight away this small problem has now been put right with a simple on screen slide bar. Thanks Devs for your quick response. 9 Sept 21 Just upgraded to the SUPERSONIC EDITION for the awesome ability to have 32 sliced segments, but I could still only see 16 pads. I contacted Support and incredibly just 8 minutes later the developer replied with the solution, so simple, just double tap on the wave where a slice is required, this then automatically extends the count to 32. This app features in virtually all my Cubasis3 projects flawlessly. 17 June 21 I never knew this app existed until I recently saw it being tested by Doug from the Sound Test Room on YouTube (thanks Doug), this really is a brilliant app and worth every penny. I have been painstakingly slicing and editing audio samples on Cubase (for years) and now on Cubasis3 (for months), this app makes the process so much simpler and so quick too, eg, just record your guitar strumming session (up to 16 different chords) in your intended tempo, then import that wave file into sEGments, slice each chord to precisely how you would like it, set it to “Gate” so that the chord ends the moment you want it to, or just create midi note to last the length of the full chord, and before you know it you’re ready to lay a guitar track down using midi notes, every chord will then sound perfect, just brilliant. I really wish I knew about this app when it was released.

I like this app alot but what frustrates me is the fiddly sliders takes several minutes to get the target...a simple plus minus buttons woud be better....also the lack of a zoom button when i put it to slice mode and try to zoom in i constantly move my dividers by accident and there is no way to zoom using the mouse...it seems to me alot of ios devs want to keep ios apps in the gimmick zone when you have others like fabfilter toneboosters bm3 that are about that pro user..i would love for this app to go into that category by removing the gimmickery and be more considerate to serious users...new update was decent timestretch quality is much better could use some improvement to the detection mode also the ability to load individual samples was what i was expecting with the update but found i have to place all samples into a folder first to do a batch import...frustrating

I’ll echo what some other reviews have said, this could be superb, but for me at least the UI is cluttered and unintuitive, and the elephant in the room is no chromatic time stretch, this imho really stifles its usefulness for me having grown accustomed to serato sample on my desktop rig.. was an early adopter so it came as a bit of a surprise that the feature wasn’t implemented..

Dope for drums but useless in most cases for melodic use.
