An excellent app - seriously I’ve tried many many. Now with user import it gets really interesting. It’s absolutely great to control - it just has this hardware-like feel to it ( not sure exactly what I mean but it just does 😂) please, please don’t let it die! 👍
MSXII does it again! The sounds in this app are second to none. Great for inspiration, load up a loop in any DAW and chop away! The built in FX too 🔥🔥🔥. Highly recommend this app for anyone serious about iOS beatmaking
Is anyone else having issue where all the purchased samples don’t load? I changed iPads and “restored purchases” and a lot of my packs only restored 1 or 2 samples. Still a quality app, but I think it needs an update.
Just bought this 15 minutes ago, grabbed it to have the asr experience and it is great in that way, however it is a major problem not having the ability to throw your own samples in(I had assumed you could do so),being restricted to only MSXII packs that only contain a few short samples, and it crashed within this short 15 minute period. The inability to sample has taken this from 5 stars to 3 and that being a generous 3 stars.
Judging by the name (chomplr; rhymes with rompler), Chomplr is clearly just intended to be a sample player, as opposed to a full on sampler. However, the developer seems to be suggesting that Chomplr will have some sampling capability as well as the ability to import your own samples in the future. I hope this is true, as it will elevate this app into the must-have category. After using it for a couple of weeks, Chomplr could really benefit from an easier and more precise method of manipulating the slicer start and end points. And some kind of basic transient detect function would be really nice. And a pads option, instead of a keyboard. Apart from that, this is a good, solid v1, and the samples are top quality. I just really hope the MSXII team keep pushing this app forwards. It could be one of the greats.
I’ve been a fan of their products for a long time and this doesn’t disappoint. Very easy to use and the sounds are well recorded and instantly bring the right vibe!
Having put some pleasing stuff together in AUM with this app earlier today I just reloaded the sessions to find all the samples have changed, this renders the app somewhat useless at present. £0.99 for just 6 samples seems a bit steep frankly also, agree with the previous review that this desperately needs the ability to import samples to really be worthwhile. This would be a really useful addition to the AUv3 world and a five star app if these issues are addressed. ** STATE SAVING ISSUE FIXED**
This app has a good work flow and has good support in relationship to getting to know it. The in app samples and in app purchases seem genre limited . I think state is handled and I concerns about audio quality ... but it’s fresh and I will go with it for a few iterations .
As yet there appears to be no way of connecting Bluetooth enabled controllers such as the Akai LPK 25 Wireless keyboard or a Roli Lightblock M. It would be very useful if this could be implemented.
