Printer is pretty amazing but this app is awful. Cannon wrote their own photo picker, rather than using the iOS default picker. This means you don’t have access to photo search or the common means of selecting photos that is used literally EVERYWHERE else. They did work to make the user experience awful seriously just use the built in photo picker. Oh and to rub salt in the wound they don’t let you use the iOS photos app to pick photos and send them to the printer app via the share card. The printer works great but the app makes me hate it.

It won’t even connect to my iPhone. I prefer that the app will connect with the phone via Wi-Fi, which will be more reliable.

There are features the printer is capable of that are absent on the app, which is unfortunately the quickest and most convenient way to print on this thing and therefore the most preferable way. The subtle date option is not available on the app, yet it is on the printer. I see this has been a complaint in reviews for over a year, so Canon does not seem to be supporting its software on current products, which is very disappointing. It would be a different story if this were an old model. UPDATE YOUR APP, CANON!! CHEAPSKATES!!

I usually don’t write reviews but the connection from the app to the device is NOT IT. It’s straight lacking.

I keep having to uninstall because somehow it makes me use a password to connect it as WiFi. So frustrating.

I can’t get this printer to hook up to my wife’s iPhone 11 either. I’m going to try the PC although the instructions in the write ups don’t seem to accommodate a data link to a PC. I can’t get either to work. I’m sending it back to Cannon in a garbage bag, this is not a new thing for me. I’ve been working on computers for 30 years. This is the worst set up. I’ve start up hook up integration I’ve ever seen. Thank you. Beware.

This is a good app and it is fun to watch the photos print. A lot of people art getting it confused with a photo editor and leaving bad reviews bc you cannot edit your photos. Secondly it does have a hard time connecting sometimes but I noticed when I sit by a charger with my iPad and printer it loads faster.

This app is really hard to use……..

Following the steps, it just says “unable to connect, check that the printer is on” over and over. Yes, the printer is on. Sending this back. 🙄
