SessionBand Blues 1 Reviews
Love them all..at least the ones I have purchased
I started with the Original, then I got the Guitar 1 & 2, ukulele, rock, country, EdM, Drums, Jazz 1&2… these are so awesome. It would be even better if we could import the individual loops easily into like garage band or FL Studio mobile. I tried exporting a recording and using the same chords and same bpm from for example the guitar and piano apps, but when I tried putting them together into GarageBand… there were some definite synchronization issues. It’s not SessionBands fault.. they are great, I’m just a noob, and probably just not doing something correctly. I know it states that these are royalty free, but if I create the chord structure of a popular song, and sing a cover, or a parody, am I safe, copyright wise, for at least the music part? I mean can the creator of an original song come after me just because I used the same/similar chord structure and sound similar to the original? You can’t copyright chord structures, and SessionBand obviously didn’t copy anything from another artist, so if I put my loops together and it sounds familiar/similar to another song.. would there be any repercussions? I just want to cmoa (cover my own assets)
Really surprised by the sound quality
I was really wiped out over the sound quality. Wasn't expecting that. Very good.
Extremely cool app.
A lot easier to try and use GarageBand to get a jam track going. This is no diss to GB by any means. This is easier to use in my opinion. All the instruments can be muted or adjusted, and the same for GB, but man more options included here for rhythm guitar alone.
Change key by semitone. Adjust speed. Change drum fill or the better part of the track. Loop.
All needed tools. You can record your finished track. After you have produced it and then export to several other apps, including GB.
Watch your bpm after you import to GB. Once you sync it up there, it'll play like you had originally wanted here in SessionBand. Haven't figured out how to export single tracks to GB yet, but will get it going.
I have two ticks that certainly didn't warrant a star removed.
No plain Jane Major chords. Not all Blues has just, altered Dominates. And no Diminished chords. m7b5 yep, no problem, but no Diminished.
Other than those two, this is a home run music making app for the price of a couple cocktails.
I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Good for jamming but not for advanced uses
I just use this to create jam tracks that I play along with using the app. It’s nice to be able to control the tempo change keys and so on and off the stock tracks. This is mostly what I do. I haven’t had much luck exporting tracks to garage band etc. As a matter fact I would say the app is horrible for this. But there’s an easy way to access jam tracks that can be tweakedTo change keys and what not, this app is good
Major bug
Can’t change tracks without completely leaving the app. Not good at all.
Everything else is amazing really really is, but the problem above makes me not wanna use the app every time I do.
Simply amazing
I can not believe it took me this long to stumble on this app and that there are so few favorable reviews. Just amazing for building fantastic backing tracks to play with. And the interface is incredible. What a bargain too. I’ve tried many many other backing track solutions and this is clearly the best.
Good app, but...
I use a quite a few of your Session band apps, I have all of the jazz series, and the blues app. I find them easy to use for practice. I mostly make my own rhythm tracks (bass and drums) to work on practice patterns for jazz, and I hope to use the blues app in the same way for working some heavy blues rock riffs against on guitar. Harmony is not a big deal at this point since I work against a rhythm section (bass and drums), but it would be nice in the blues app to have some straight triad chord possibilities, 5 chords for example to add a rhythm guitar. Do not need the extended chords so much in the blues app. Just my humble opinion. Overall I use the SessionBand app daily and think it is best for a shallow learning curve to just get woodshedding.
Good app for making jam tracks ...
I didn't have any problems learning how to use the app. If anything, my mistake was thinking it was harder to use than it is. Works great. I play blues so, unless I am missing something, it would be better if I could substitute a keyboard for the rhythm guitar in Texas Blues Crunch, etc. I like some rhythm in the backing. Just would like a little more flexibility about what kind of rhythm. Not complaining though. After trying all kinds of looping programs, this is the one that I use to practice to. Great job guys. Looking forward to more functions and sophistication. I, for one, would not hesitate to pay a bit more for an upscale version. Thanks.
Eh?
I have to agree with Cassius King. I found this app a bit illusive when it comes to blues. I don't know what this is, wouldn't call it blues though. To many jazz like chords in this. Get back to the drawing board with this guys. Let's get some hard core blues, rock combo here. This is kinda wimpy stuff here. You need to offer a money back guarantee here. Waste of money.
What The?
This is a self serving piece of dribble.
If your looking for the blues, "it ain't here"
Crazy keys and chord progressions. Just waisted $9
Blues band in your iPad
I find a use for all the SessionBand apps I have, and this one is no exception. It's great for sketching out arrangements and practicing your instrument.Love the drum and organ parts in this one. Can be a bit fiddly when mapping out your chords, but it really does sound good.
