SimplePractice for Clinicians Reviews
User friendly!!
This app is so user friendly and allows me to quickly and easily access my schedule and documentation from my phone at anytime which is so convenient for keeping up on notes between patients without having to access a computer to do so!
Great app with one big need
I enjoy the ease of this app, one thing needed is a privacy mode like the desktop version so that full client names are not displayed, just initials.
Doesn’t actually allow full function
6/2024 update: Simple Practice has really decreased in reliability recently. Issues connecting, their server not working or being over loaded, using too much data/space causing the computer to over heat. It’s too expensive for how poorly it has been performing over the past 2 months or so.
You can se completed documents, etc. so it’s pretty useless unless all you want to do is see and schedule appointments.
Trouble booking appts
Despite linking my laptop and iPhone, and having them synched for years, I lost the ability to schedule clients on my iPhone . No questions address this on the community discussions. Thanks
App is very limited
App is extremely limited…i cant do basic stuff I would have to log in on my browser to actually do stuff. Dont understand the use of the app…
Treatment plans
Treatment plans need to be able to be done on one’s iPad not just your computer!!!
Repeatedly Signs OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This APP has potential but not when you’re constantly signed out. My therapists and I are logged out at least 3-6 times daily. What good is it if I can check my calendar or messages nor receive the notifications because I’m repeatedly logged out. This is an ongoing problem. FIX IT!! I’m over all these ridiculous issues with SP. honestly I stopped referring others to you. Until Simple Practice gets their bugs fixed I would not recommend overall.
Bugs
Issues since logo change. No longer receive reminders and notifications do not show on Home Screen.
Better than the rest but still lacking
Biggest complaint: system goes down during workday and company will not respond responsibly by explaining the outages and discounting service fees by a small nominal amount to acknowledge the lost sessions and frustrations for all.
2nd major issue: it’s just not intuitively designed from the start, and many times trying to change some setting or default workflow that should be easy to find and change ends up buried in hidden layers- in a way it reminds me sometimes of Epic, and if you’ve ever been forced to use that system, you know what I mean.
Meh
Nice to be able to check schedule and messages. Can’t really do a whole lot else (would be nice to at least be able to read old notes). Also - really frustrating that you have to log in every day even if you set up Face ID
