Unusable Won’t allow me to log in
The app logs you off frequently so the time saved is often spent logging back in all the time. Also there are banner ads at the top that take time to load so when you think you are clicking on your last recent order to repeat - you accidentally click the ad. I do like that it keeps track of loyalty rewards if you frequently go to the same place. Also that you can discover new high quality places if you are in an unknown area.
Great app used to use it religiously. My debit card with my local bank is not accepted / doesn’t work as payment. Has now completely stopped me from using this 5 times a week.
Love love love ordering my coffee ahead on the train and then swinging by the cafe to grab it quickly. VIP experience.
The whole point of Skip is to skip the queue. However, every time I want to use the app, it has forgotten my login and password. The login screen also does not recognise any of the password manager interface standards so I need to manually switch between Skip and my password manager to complete the login again and again. And then there is the I’m not a robot test too. So by the time I’ve sorted this all out, I could have been faster just queuing up. Recommendation to the UX team: 1. Change your login screen to adhere to user interface guidelines so the phone recognises its a login screen and offers the usual auto-complete from any password manager. 2. Save the login credentials so they don’t need to be entered every single time. 3. Offer FaceID as a login option.
I hope more cafes jump on board with this. It’s pretty good not having to stand in a queue to order. I walked down to my cafe, waited maybe 2 or 3 minutes before my coffee and food was ready. I love the efficiency!
My housemate and I have both had the issue where it wouldn’t matter what payment option we chose it would constantly say it failed. Despite all cards having funds in it. Even after deleting and reinstalling the app, it still fails. So annoying.
And not having to wait around
