Simply superb
This has got to be the best Astro app going. SO informative with a great layout and easy to navigate. Even during daylight it’s packed with information and love the layout. Brilliant.

This is an excellent application full of information needed to enhance the pleasure of astronomy.
Having bought SkySafari Pro 6 about 3 days ago, and already being a Starrynight Pro Plus 8 user for many years, I am now asked to pay for a new version! And I have not even had time to properly evaluate SSP6…..Not happy!
Just bought SkySafari 6 Pro and tried to install the GAIA Star Database on my iPad Pro, the blue install progress bar reaches (I would estimate 99%) then stops without completing the installation. I have lots of space on the hard drive. It installed easily on my iPhone 10s Max... ideas?
It is the best sky view I have ever seen on a IPad How can you better it? I have yet to try it out on my telescope. Keep up the good work Frank
Having followed all the suggestions regarding this mount, the asiair pro and SkySafari, I still cannot get this app to connect to the mount. PLEASE fix this! Thankyou I have eq6r-pro connected to asiair pro via usb cable. Then the air app to air Wi-fi. Tried all variations of the Meade lx 200 suggested; SkySafari still fails to connect!
Bought the app back in the Spring, was working absolutely fine, loved it! BUT, tried launching it today, and upon launching the app, disappeared. I tried restarting my phone just in case it was a one off glitch, but still doing the same thing, crashing or disappearing upon app launch. Highly Fustrating!
I hardly ever write reviews but felt I had to for this software is brilliant. I use it with a Nexstar 8SE, SkyFI 3 & Starsense Auto align Camera. I purchased this as an upgrade to the free celestron skyportal app which is a barebones version off this. I originally used it with a Celestron Skyportal WiFi dongle but after many disconnects with my set up in skyportal and this I moved to the Skyfi which is totally worth the extra cash to not have to sit out in the dark faffing about with connection issues or crashes due to the celestron wifi dongle. It would be a bonus if you could carry out starsense auto align and control a focus motor with this and the Skyfi but to be fair I’ve found the set up for starsense via the hand controller then connecting to Skyfi with this app much more accurate. £19.99 in my opinion is more than a fair price for this app and if the devs were to release the functionality to starsense auto from within the app using Skyfi 3 then I’d gladly pay for it as an extra. Well done to the team involved and keep up the good work 👍.
I bought this app for £39 at the same time as another app called Sky Guide. This app never is up to date and always sends pestering emails to ask for more money, to sell even the simplest data, like the position of the comet NEOWISE! The comet has been visible now for about a month and Sky Safari Pro even now has nothing about this brightest comet of recent years. I regret why I purchased this, Sky Guide is much better and is always up to date with the latest objects.
This blew me away, the graphics and animations (including Time Flow) are gorgeous. I watched Halley's Comet fly by Earth in 1986 from the comet's perspective! (Not sure why Halley's Comet flys by Earth in 1079 rather than 1066 though?) And saw a double-sunrise on Mercury due to its highly elliptical orbit (which the app taught me about). It has constellations and everything you could want! Record breathtaking animations with the iPhone's Screen Recording feature. Ever wondered: what's that bright speck in the night sky? With the AR mode, this is the app for you. Feature requests: - Setting to hide day of week - YYYY-MM-DD (ISO 8601 format) - When an object is centred, show its distance from the POV - Allow POV standing on the surface of a heavenly body (e.g. a planet) - SpaceX launch-tracking!
