SS6 Pro is better than SS7
SS6 has a more intuitive design and more beautiful presentation than the newer version. My advice is to get SS6 Pro before it is no longer available.

SF7 Pro has a real problem with runaway slews in the controls. I gave up trying to work with it and went back to 6.
I make changes to the settings and most of those changes are not reflected in the chart.
I love this app!!! My fav thing about it is the level of customization that I can apply, depending on how I'm using it on a given night (or day). One caveat though. Once in awhile information about an object may seem a little off. So confirm with multiple sources. That doesn't bother me because I love researching and picture surfing anyway. A recent example is the object known as SagDEG. My version of SkySafari Pro has it as 46,000 light years from Earth. Elsewhere, it is thought to be 70,000 light years from Earth (which seems more likely to me for a couple of reasons). But get the app, enjoy it, and dig deep into the info. Let SkySafari be your guide, and the vast night sky will astonish you over and over again.
Works with my scope . On comparing with sky safari 7 pro. Sky safari 7 pro has tick marks on the eq coordinates will you be adding this function on sky safari 6 pro too ?
You are saying to upgrade to 7 however I use sky wire to control my scope and you have deleted this and just do skyfi. Makes any updates unavailable to me😢
Convenient, well organized and versatile application for the novice and advanced…
This app works well, BUT after purchase it eventually starts having pop-ups every time the app is launched. Stellarium works as well, doesn’t have annoying ads and is much cheaper.
Love the tech easy for me to control equipment
“ At this time there is not a way to move your custom locations from SkySafari 5 to SkySafari 6. You will have to manually recreate them in SkySafari 6. IMPORTANT: After your observing list and settings files are imported into SkySafari 6, they are deleted from the Documents directory because they are now stored in the database. If you add the files to the Documents directory a second time you will get duplicate imports. Duplicates file entries will also result if you add the files to another device that is also synced via the same LiveSky.com account. You need only add the files from SkySafari 5 to SkySafari 6 ONCE, using any one device. The files will then be synced to all your iOS devices using the same LiveSky.com account.”. I am a software project manager. You would have to be into I.T. and development to understand that this and ability is absolutely ridiculous. Whoever is telling these people that this cannot be done through programming and development is lying like a RUG. Things like this are extremely easy to do and we do it every day. If I put out with a new release that one released was not able to update from the last user generated files, I would be fired. Also I have been unable to get any questions answered at all about the app via instructions or forum. Like many other users, I have found that most developers documentation to be absolutely embarrassing. This app does not cease to disappoint. I have a six year old that document this code better. I cannot find out from anyone in the company or that has used the app to answer this question, when I purchase the extra databases, do they update and are transferred to the next Safari release, you know the Safari releases don’t you? Those releases that we have to pay through the nose for every year! This happened to buy a new release every year or so is crazy. It’s no different from the craziness of having to get an Apple phone every couple years. What’s the what is it with you people that you always have to have your hands constantly in our pockets?
